English Credits

• 4 Credits of English

– English I Pre-AP English I– English II Pre-AP English II– English III AP English III– English IV DC English IV

– Pre-AP & AP courses are suggested for the distinguished plan

– Regular, Pre-AP or AP courses will satisfy either graduation plan

Mathematics

• Recommended Distinguished• 4 credits of Math

• Algebra I Algebra I Pre-AP• Geometry Geometry Pre-AP• Math Models or Algebra II Algebra II Pre-AP• Algebra II or Pre-Calculus Pre-Calculus Pre-AP

• Math Models must be taken prior to algebra II

• If algebra is taken at the JH level, then Calculus or DC Algebra may be taken for the fourth year of math

Pre-AP, AP & DC courses are suggested for the distinguished plan

Regular or Pre-AP courses will satisfy either graduation plan

Science

Recommended Distinguished• 4 Credits of science

Advanced Measures

• Distinguished Plan-in addition to 26 credits, a combination of 4 of the following advanced measures must be achieved

• A score of 3 or more on the College Board AP examination

• A score of 4 or more on an International Baccalaureate exam

• A grade of 3.0 or higher on college credit courses• Original research/project • A score on the PSAT that qualifies the student as a

Commended Scholar or higher by the National Merit Scholarship Corp.
