Search Feature
Recognizes 55 well-rounded B.C. graduates. WGSS can nominate one student.
Must have demonstrated community service, both inside and outside their schools, and shown aptitude and commitment to their chosen career paths.
Recipients should exemplify competencies such as communication and digital literacy; critical thinking and problem-solving; collaboration and leadership; personal and social responsibility; global and cultural understanding; and creativity and innovation.
Winners will receive a $5000 scholarship voucher to use for post-secondary tuition.

The PTES is a $5000 voucher recognizing exceptional Grade 12 students planning to enter the field of teaching in through a BC Faculty of Education Program.

Secondary School Apprenticeship students must be a registered apprentice with the Industry Training Authority (ITA) while in high school in order to qualify for the $1000 scholarship
Minimum C+ average in courses numbered 12
Must successfully completed 16 credits of SSA Courses = 480 hours while in high school
Must report a minimum of 900 hours of work with ITA by Dec. 31 of the school year in which student turns 19

• Must demonstrate superior achievement in any one of seven areas (see next slide)
• GPA for this scholarship includes other required academic courses in addition to 4 specialty courses numbered 11 or 12
• Minimum average GPA of 67% over Grade 11 + 12 year
• Voucher to be used for post-secondary studies: $1250
• Last year 32 students received this award
