Vocabulary

1) Coordinate plane – A plane in which the coordinate system has been set up.

2) Horizontal axis – The horizontal number line in a coordinate plane: the x-axis.

3) Vertical axis – The vertical number line in a coordinate plane; the y-axis.

4) Origin – The intersection of the axes on a coordinate plane associated with the ordered pair (0,0).
