They will use balsa wood to construct towers. Students will learn the engineering design process to reiterate designs as needed. Mouse trap vehicle is a building event in which teams build a vehicle powered by one or two mousetraps. The vehicle must be capable of traveling down a straight track as quickly as possible, and stopping as close to the finish line as possible. Participants will not only build a fully functional FTC(First Tech Challenge) robot and program it using Java Android Studio. They will also learn Enigneering tips & mechanical design principals from our State winning coaches. By completing various missions and tasks students will be better prepared for next year's high school robotics team selections. Oculus Rift is a hardware platform consisting of a headset & earphones that allows people to experience virtual reality. Learn the how to use the Unity® game engine and tackle the unique design challenges that arise when building for Virtual Reality. Game engine controls that use moving platforms & artificial intelligence. Blender is a free and open source 3D creation suite. It supports the entirety of the 3D pipeline —modeling, rigging, animation, simulation, rendering, compositing & motion tracking. Thanks to high quality rigging and animation tools, Blender is used for numerous short films, ads, TV series and feature films now. Python is a powerful, expressive programming language that`s easy to learn and fun to use. Python Art brings kids into the world of programming. Turtle graphics and tKinter allow students to enjoy making fun graphics, music, game & animation while learning Python language basics. A fun introduction to coding! Campers learn Robotics, utilizing sensors, gear trains, engineering design, logical thinking & coding, testing and performance, strategy building. This Robotics class is an excellent way to motivate children to get deeper into Robotics while also getting direct goals based outcomes that they can have fun and engagement with. Participants will design and build a moving, battery-powered vehicle capable of traveling a certain distance and stopping as close to the ending dot at that distance as possible. Students will use materials such as Legos, chassis, wheels, dowels, electrical systems, and breaking systems. Students will learn the engineering design process to reiterate designs as needed. Campers will design and construct two bottle rockets (made out of one- liter bottles) which each hold a Grade A egg and have to launch it successfully. The objective of this event is to get your rocket to stay up as long as possible, while also avoiding breaking the egg. Students will learn the engineering design process to reiterate designs as needed.
