Open Gradebook
Select Reporting Term and double click or click the arrow
For Y1, S1 & S2, change your options from Total Points to Term Weights.
For Y1, your calculations should be as follows
S1 = 50%
S2 = 50%
(Note: For Y1, once changed from Total Points to Term Weights, the Percent has already changed to 50% & 50%).
Click Save in the bottom left hand corner.

Example for S1 & S2 Setup
For those of you who give exams, enter the following
For S1 enter
Q1 = 40
Q2 = 40
E1 = 20
For S2 enter
Q3 = 40
Q4 = 40
E2 = 20
For each weight enter what is shown above

Category Weights for Quarter (1) (2) (3) (4) This is what you use to weight your assignments into the final grade. Weight
your assignments as you feel necessary (Category Weights or Total Points).
The Select Categories box will appear.
Select the categories you want to use.
(Note: When creating assignments, if you use a category that you have not weighted, then that assignment will
NOT be included in the final grade. In order for an assignment to be included in the final grade, you must
use a category that you have weighted. )
Once you have selected the categories, click ok. They will now appear.
Click each category and change the weight.
To verify that they equal 100%, the weight and the percent will be the same.
Once the weights are correct, click SAVE in the bottom right hand corner.

Click the quarter Change from Total Points to Category Weights At this point, click on Add Category.

Completely set up Q1 within your first class
Click Copy.
Make sure that Q1 Only is selected. Click OK.
If you do not have a copy button, right click on Q1 and choose Copy Grade Setup - Q1 Only. See below
Select the quarters you are copying to. Click next.
The short cut is to copy final grade setup to other classes in gradebook.

This is a summary of what copying from and where you are copying to. Just click Finish.
Once you have completely set up one class, you can copy that class setup to the rest of your classes. (or to “like”
classes)

Click Copy. Entire class will be selected.
If you do not have a copy button, right click on Y1, select Copy Grade Setup – Entire Class.
Click on Y1 of the class that i s completely set up

ACHS & ACMS
Make sure you are copying the information to classes in the current school year.
Select which classes you want to copy to and click next.
You will get a summary screen of what class you are copying and which class you are copying the information to.
Click Finish.
At this point, check all of your classes, just to be sure they are setup correctly.

(Check your categories for Assignments to be sure that when creating assignments, if you use a category that you have
not weighted, then that assignment will NOT be included in the final grade. In order for an assignment to be included in
the final grade, you must use a category that you have weighted. ) See Example above on Categories for Assignments.
