Key Terms
CREDIT: A course. A full course is 1 credit, a half course is .5 credit.
COMPULSORY: A course required for graduation. It must be repeated if it is not passed.
OPTIONAL: Courses chosen by the student for his/her needs or interests.
PREREQUISITE:A course that must be completed before moving to the next level in that subject area.

COURSE SELECTION STEPS
You’ll need:
Selection sheet and course description booklet
FRENCH IMMERSION: Use the green selection sheet. We will be scheduling a meeting to discuss the the French Immersion program.
Courses are offered in rotation.
French Immersion
1. Compulsories are on the left side of the sheet. Mark an “x” by all of these.
2. Options are on the right side of the
sheet. Make sure you have the prerequisites. Talk to your parents and teachers about good options for you. Mark an “x” by the options you want to take. Make sure you sign up for1.5 credits of options.
3. Add all of the credits up and insure you have 9 credits.

4. Attend the parent information session at Hapnot in the Theatre on Wednesday March 21st at 6:30 pm
5. Hand in your sheet to your teacher by March 23th. That’s it!
