Introduction of the English Language
• A mixture of various languages.• Category: West Germanic,
Anglo-Frisian• Derived from Anglo-Frisian
languages spoken by Germanic settlers from northern Germany and northern part of the Netherlands.
• Divided into three periods: Old, Middle, Modern English
• Influenced by Norse language (Vikings), Norman language (Normans)
Why do we choose “English Grammar Exercises” as our topic?• English has become the major
language in the world.• Used in many fields.• To help students improve English
usage skills.• Let them understand its importance.• Rapid development of information
technology in 21st century.• Let students finish the exercises in a
more convenient way.

JCloze: fill-in-the-blanks questions.JQuiz: short questions, multiple choice
questions.JMatch: matching (drag and drop)
exercises.JCross: crossword puzzles.JMix: joining words together to form a
complete sentence.Masher: mixing up all exercises together.
• Four exercises made: Word formation, tenses, two crossword puzzles in website.
Conclusion• Language is a great and essential part
of our life.• Learn more about languages in various
ways.• English is known as the world language,
used in many different fields.• Methods of improvement:
Find and develop skills with others.Discuss with people you know,
especially teachers and parents.
Group Reflection• A great pleasure to work on the YSP
project with group mates.• Gained knowledge of importance of
English and its crucial impacts towards us, acquired all skills and information that lead to success.
• Encounter many problems during the progress, including software used, end product Tutor helped us.
• Project lets us learn more about English, cooperate with people that we do not know.
