Thanksgiving is the holiday of peace, the cele-
bration of work and the simple life... a true folk
festival that speaks the poetry of the turn of the
seasons, the beauty of seedtime and harvest, the
ripe product of the year - and the deep, deep
connection of all these things with God. ~Ray Stannard Baker

SEEK God and his direction for our lives. SERVE God and our community through worship and acts of Charity. SHARE Christ with all who do not know His loving grace.
It is our privilege to extend a very warm and heartfelt Grace
welcome to the two newest members of the Grace Family!
Sandra and Eron Ellis joined Grace Church last Sunday. We
hope they are blessed by their new Grace membership.
Please take a minute to introduce yourself as you see them
around the building.
Sanctuary Poinsettias
Sunday, November 27 (Yes! That’s this
coming Sunday!) is the last day to order
your poinsettias to decorate the sanctu-
ary during the Advent season. Order
forms are in the Sunday bulletin or you
may call the church office.
The plants are the same as last year, $7 apiece. If you wish,
you may dedicate your plant(s) to the Glory of God, in honor
of, or in memory of friends and family. Your plant or plants
are yours to keep, however, please plan to leave them until
after our worship service on Christmas Sunday.
Decorating Grace Church for
Christmas is one of the most en-
joyable and fun activities for
many at Grace.
This year, there are some special
things going on with our Youth
which will make this time even
more special.
Beginning at 6:00 pm, the young
people will be serving chili and
homemade chicken soup. They
will provide table service by tak-
ing your order, and bringing it to
your table. Love offerings are
appreciated.
The youth have also been busy planning how they will
decorate Gingerbread Houses. Their creations will be
available through silent auction on Friday evening.
Please come to beautify our church and to support our
Youth. Proceeds will be used for youth ministries and to
buy beanbag chairs for the Star Room.

We just want to thank you once
again for your contributions and
food donations in support of our
commitment to the Crosslines Food Pantry and CCCO
neighbors. On the 10th of this month, along with our Mes-
siah Lutheran partners, we served 57 families consisting of
164 individuals at Crosslines.
You can see that the need is great and we couldn’t have done
it without you.
~Missions Committee
Thank you for keeping us on the newsletter mailing list and

Please apply these funds where most needed.
Merry Christmas!

To everyone at Grace, I thank you for your calls, cards and

Martha Frazier
Martha has been a faithful member
of Grace Church since she joined
on November 1, 1987.
Recently she was named Resident
of the Month where she resides.
CONGRATULATIONS, MARTHA!
The Langsfords
Breck and Amanda shared this photo of their boys. They are
all in the same school and this is their very first school pic-
ture! What a great photo! They are big guys now. Jake, 4-
years-old, is on the left. Joe, 2-years-old, is in the center,
with 4-year-old Josh on the right.
The Morgans
Haven’t they grown since we first met them?
Henry, left, and Walter have just celebrated their
first birthday.
Stan & Liz Miesner are very proud of their great-
nephews.
UMW NEWS & VIEWS
December 6th UMW will be having their Christmas
Luncheon in Fellowship Hall at 11:30 AM. As in years
past, we will be decorating the tables with gifts for
Crosslines to give to children this Christmas. Our age
group is 0 to 18 months. They suggest toys, clothing or
size 2 diapers. After the luncheon, the gifts will be taken
over to Crosslines. Please bring a cov-
ered dish to share at the lunch.
Remember all the ladies at Grace are
invited and very welcome to attend the
lunch. We hope to see you on the 6th.
