INSTALLING "MERKAARTER"

• Step 1: Go to the "Ubuntu Software

Center".

• Step 2: Install "Merkaarter".

• Step 3: Install "gpsd".

• Step 4: Reboot the computer.

• Step 5: Start the "DASH" search

engine.

• Step 6: Locate "Merkaarter".

• Step 7: Double-click on "Merkaarter".

DOWNLOADING AN "OPENSTREETMAP.ORG" MAP

BASED ON YOUR CURRENT GPS COORDINATES

• Step 1: Click on the "Download"

button.

• Step 2: Delete any previously-saved

maps from the "All" tab by right-

clicking and "Closing" them.

• Step 3: Select the "From the map

below.." option.

• Step 4: Click on the "OK" button.
