BUDGET 2015/16
Message from Premier Darrell Pasloski
The Yukon government is putting Yukoners to work. That’s exactly what the 2015/16 Budget is designed to do. As Yukon’s private sector faces economic challenges, your government is focusing on what is within our control and is laying out the framework for Yukoners and Yukon businesses to succeed.
We envision a strong, vibrant private sector driving the territory’s economic growth. That’s why this year’s budget invests in our economic future. It will prepare Yukoners for local opportunities. It invests in roads, telecommunications and public facilities built by local Yukon companies. These capital projects will attract further investment and support our growing territory.
This budget invests in Yukon First Nations partnerships, resource industry management, and projects that will benefit our communities. We believe these investments will help make Yukon the best place to live, work, play and raise a family.
This is the fourth budget of our mandate and continues our tradition of strategic investment, strong fiscal management and maintaining net financial resources. I encourage Yukoners to learn more about this year’s budget at www.gov.yk.ca. It’s time to go to work.
Premier Darrell Pasloski
