COASTAL DISASTERS & PAST EXPERIENCE
Like any other South Indian Coastal State, the UT also faced the brunt of
Tsunami during 2004.
Being coastal in location, the UT is prone to cyclones and depressions. In
Puducherry, Karaikal and Yanam regions, cyclones occur normally during
November and December.
