Whereas, in accordance with section 3 of the Karnataka Parliamentary Secretaries Salary,

Allowances and Miscellaneous provisions Act, 1963, a Parliamentary Secretary shall be entitled to

such salaries and allowances as are admissible to a Minister, Minister of State or a Deputy Minister

under the Karnataka Minister's Salaries and Allowances Act, 1956, as may be specified by the

Government from time to time.

Now therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Karnataka

Parliamentary Secretaries Salary, Allowances and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1963, the

Government of Karnataka hereby specify that the members of Karnataka Legislative Assembly and

Karnataka Legislative Council who are appointed under Notification No. DPAL 01 SAMYAVI 2019,

dated: 07.01.2019 shall be entitled to such salary and allowances as admissible to the Minister of

State under the Karnataka Ministers Salaries and Allowances Act, 1956 from the date of assuming

their office.

Whereas, Sri. K. Whereas Section 5 of the said Act empowers the Chief Minister or the concerned Minister to specify the functions of the Parliamentary Secretary to whom he is Parliamentary Secretary.

Now therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Karnataka Parliamentary Secretaries Salary, Allowances and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1963, the Government of Karnataka hereby specify that Sri. K. Abdul Jabbar, Member of Karnataka Legislative Council, is Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Minority Welfate and Wakf Department.
