Information and Instruction for Candidates

Introduction

The Government of Maharashtra has decided to recruit competent and efficient staff nurses on the basis of merit through competitive written examination. This competitive written examination was meant for recruitment of competent and efficient candidates for the post of staff nurses and to appoint selected G.N.M./B.Sc. Nursing course completed nurses in the hospitals under establishment of Directorate of Medical Education & Research, Mumbai. The examination was held on 01/02/2015 and final result was declared on 06/02/2015.

Recruitment of the Staff Nurses for institutions / hospitals under the establishment of Directorate of Medical Education & Research, Mumbai will be done by Counseling and filling of the "Preference Form" at four Regional Centers based on the State Merit List declared on 06/02/2015. The preferences given by the candidates at the regional centers will be centrally processed at DMER office and list of selected candidates will be declared on web site WWW. DMER.ORG. The post of reserved category candidates will be filled as per the present backlog as shown in page no. 12.

There are 1489 newly created posts to be filled in different institutions / hospitals under establishment of Directorate of Medical Education & Research, Mumbai and Director of Ayurved, Mumbai and Government Printing Press, Mumbai. More vacancies are anticipated due to retirement/other reasons. The required number of candidates from respective categories with additional 1:5 candidates will be called for filling up the preference form. The posts falling vacant after the first round of selection due to any reasons whatsoever will be filled later on by candidates from respective categories meritwise. The selected candidates will have to pay Rs.1500/‐(Rs. One thousand five hundred only) as administrative charges incurred for post examination process through Demand Draft in the favour of "DMER Mumbai" Payable at Mumbai. The Demand Draft should be submitted at the office of Dean/Head of the institution at the time of joining as a staff nurse in the selected Institution/Hospital.

The four centers for filling the preference form are :‐

2) Sassoon General Hospital, Pune

3) Govt. Medical College & Hospital, Aurangabad

4) Govt. Medical College & Hospital, Nagpur.

The Candidate should report to the centre given in Page No. 02 as per their State Merit List (SML) No. according to the Schedule for the counseling and filling the "Preference Form".

Instruction for candidates :‐

At the centre so specified the candidates must bring along with them all the relevant documents in original and one set of attested photocopies of the same for scrutiny, along with HB Pencil, Eraser and Black ball point pen. The list of the documents is as follows.

1. MHN‐CWT‐2014 Mark sheet, Admit card, Receipt‐cum‐Identity card. 2. Nationality Certificate / Valid Passport 3. Domicile of Maharashtra 4. SSC Passing Certificate/HSC Passing certificate/Birth certificate 5. GNM mark sheets of entire course exams. 6. B.Sc. (Nursing) Mark Sheets of entire course exams. 7. Passing Certificate of GNM/ B.Sc. Nursing examination from the head of the

institutions. 8. Attempt certificate of GNM/B.Sc. (Nursing) examination from the head of the

institutions. 9. Diploma and Registration certificate (MNC)/Receipt with recent renewal date. 10. School/College Leaving Certificate. 11. Medical Fitness Certificate. 12. Sport Person Certificate certified by Director of Sports, Govt. of Maharashtra,

The following certificates are essential to support the reservation claim, failing which the claim will not be granted.

(a) Caste Certificate (b) Caste Validity Certificate (CVC) (c) Non Creamy Layer Certificate (for VJ, NT‐1, NT‐2, NT‐3, OBC & SBC).

The list of 31 institutions / Hospitals (Page No. 10 Annexure B) under establishment of Directorate of Medical Education & Research, Mumbai & Govt. Printing Press, Mumbai with their vacancy position is given in this information brochure. The candidates are requested to go through this before filling preference form.

The preference form duly filled by the candidate shall be scanned and the data thus generated shall be given to the candidate for verification of the choices of place of recruitment exercised by him/her. After verification the candidate will report discrepancy if any in the data and it will be duly corrected according to his/her preference form. If the candidate does not report at the verification counter, it will

be presumed that data entered against his/her name is correct and subsequently, Correction/corrections will not be made at later date. The choices of place of recruitment, once entered in the record/data, after verification by the candidates, shall be final and irrevocable. This final data shall be used in entire selection process for the recruitment of the Staff Nurses in the Institutions/Hospitals under establishment of Directorate of Medical Education & Research, Mumbai / Directorate of Government Printing press ,Mumbai.

The collected data will be centrally processed for the recruitment according to his/her State Merit List No. Category and Specified reservation if any and the preferences given by the candidate.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATES FOR FILLING “PREFERENCE FORM”

1) Please check the schedule for filling the preference form. Report to the office of Regional Centers according to the State Merit List (SML) No. On the scheduled date and time along with relevant original documents and a set of attested photocopies of each document.

2) Collect scrutiny form and fill all the details as per the instructions. Show scrutiny form along with all the original documents and one set of Attested photo copies to the scrutiny officer. Scrutiny committee will verify all the documents and ascertain the eligibility of the candidate. The scrutiny committee will also verify STRICTLY the claims of constitutional and specified reservation as mentioned in the original application form by the candidates . The scrutiny officer shall endorse the eligibility on the scrutiny form.

3) All the eligible candidates will collect the Original preference form from the window meant for this purpose. If the candidate is not eligible for the recruitment according to the rules stated in the information brochure, the Original preference form shall not be issued. The Original preference form will be pre‐printed along with the relevant information of the candidate, which he/she has filled in his/her original application form along with his/her Roll number and his State Merit list Number. A copy of working preference form is enclosed in this booklet (Page No.15) The

candidate should first fill up working Preference Form with Pencil. No duplicate / second Original preference form shall be issued.

4) Read carefully all the instructions to fill the form before you start filling the Original preference form. First, Candidate must fill the working preference form (Page No. 15) using pencil. Please refer the code number of Hospital / Institution given on the page number‐10 for filling the working preference form.

5) Candidate must fill following information in the working preference form. a) Year of passing of G.N.M./B.Sc. Nursing final examination. b) If candidate is PWD/PAP/EQ/PT/Ex‐Serviceman/SP he/she should have

appropriate certificate in the prescribed format and should darken 'Yes' bubble at item No. 08

c) Write institution code according to the most preferred place of recruitment at preference No. 1 followed by the next choice, at preference No. 2 and so on. [

Once the candidate is satisfied with his choices filled, on the working preference form, he will fill the same using black ballpoint pen. Then he should start filling it on the original preference form, using Black ball point pen. Candidate must be very careful while filling up the Original preference form. Under any circumstances he/she will not get another Original preference form. Candidate should fill all the preferences. If a candidate does not wish to fill all the preferences then he has to sign an undertaking stating the following.

"I understand that I am required to fill all the '31' preference and that the allotment is being done merit wise within the respective categories. I also understand that if I do not give all the preferences, I may not get the posting and I owe the responsibility for the same." 6) Fill the Original preference form as per instructions and submit it at the specified

counter. Candidate shall inform regarding the name correction if any at the counter. 7) Collect your data sheet, verify the entries, in case you find any discrepancy apart

from the original applications form entries please report immediately to the verification counter. If the candidate does not report at the verification counter, it will be presumed that the data entered against his/her name is correct and subsequently corrections will not be made at later date. The choices of places, once entered in the record/data, after verification by the candidate, shall be final and irrevocable. This final data shall be used in entire selection process for the recruitment.

8) A reserved category candidate should refer annexure ‐ C given in the MHN‐CWT‐2014 brochure He/ She should submit.

a) Caste Certificate & Caste validity certificate. b) All the reserved category candidate (except‐S.T.) should submit ‘Caste Validity

Certificate’ as per the G.R. Dated 12th December, 2011 within 6 months . c) Candidates belonging to S.T. Category should submit Caste Validity Certificate during the Process of Selection.

d) Non creamy Layer certificate valid upto 31/03/2015 issued after 31/03/2014 in the name of Parent / candidate wherever required (necessary for V.J., NT (1), NT(2), NT(3),OBC & SBC)

9) All the document shown & submitted by the candidate during the preference form filling Process, will be considered for selection of the candidate. Any documents shown after this process will not be accepted .All the candidates are requested to bring all the documents mentioned above during the process. If a Non Creamy layer certificate is required & if not produced, the said candidate will be included in the Open category.

10) This directorate has conducted the MHN‐CWT‐2014 exam and declared the result on 06/02/2015. All the candidates have been issued the mark sheet on which state merit list number is Mentioned. Candidates are requested to refer rule no. 5.1 given in the brochure.

11) Result of MHN‐CWT 2014 includes the mark list of reserved category candidate along with state merit list number, Category and merit list number is also mentioned. All the candidate should note that they should attend this process as per their state merit list no. and as per schedule, for the counseling and filling up of the “Preference Form”

12) Candidate should refer Rule No.4.9 given in the MHN‐CWT‐2014 brochure for the eligibility related to age. Those who will be fulfilling these conditions will be considered for the process.

13) If a candidate remains absent for this preference form filling process then he/she will not be considered for the appointment. No application/request will be entertained afterwards.
