PROVISIONAL SELECT LIST

1. In pursuance to the Notification dated: 04.01.2018 cited at reference-2, recruitment

process to fill up 32 posts of Jailor (Men & Women) of Hyderabad-Karnataka and Non

Hyderabad-Karnataka Region was initiated. Written examination was conducted on 18.02.2018

to all the candidates who had applied for selection to the above said post. From the merit list of

Written Examination, candidates were called for Physical Efficiency and Fitness test and

Physical Standard Test in the ratio of 1:5 in order of merit and reservation claimed. After

conducting the Physical Efficiency and Fitness test and Physical Standard Test eligible

candidates were called for Viva-Voce from 12.06.2018 to 14.06.2018 in the ratio of 1:3.

2. Whereas, as per the procedures laid down in the existing Cadre & Recruitment Rules

called "the Karnataka Prison Services (Recruitment) Rules 2002 and its amended Rules, 2007 &

20 I0" after completing the above said process, provisional select list in order of merit of

candidates equal to the number of vacancies notified should be published. Accordingly, the

provisional select list is prepared and is as follows:

a) The fact that the name of the candidates figures in this list does not give them any legal

right for appointment to the post which will be dependent on verification of relevant

document including caste and other reservations claimed by the candidates and also

verification of character and antecedents of the candidates.

b) This select list is subject to the final decision of the Hon'ble Karnataka State

Administrative Tribunal / Hon'ble High Court of Karnataka / Hon'ble Supreme Court of

India.
