INTEGRATED TRIBAL DEVELOPMENT AGENCY (YANADIS), NELLORE
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Established on 05.02.2002 with headquarters at Nellore.
Nellore is centrally located place for entire contiguous Yanadi region of Nellore, Chittoor, Prakasam & YSR District
Yanadi tribe is one of the tribal groups among 34 sub groups. At Present this sub tribe became the highest population among sub tribe groups in new Andhra Pradesh.
Main occupation – Traditional livelihood is fishing in inland tanks and canals, Agriculture Labour, sanitary, Rickshaw Pullers and Fishing as main occupation. Small agricultural farmers in some areas having DKT / CJFS lands.
These tribes are scattered in all mandals.
Literacy: Nellore 42.80%;
Project area: Spread over in 4 districts viz Nellore, Prakasam, Chittoor & YSR Kadapa (4 mandals)

8. The Spl. Commissioner of Tribal Welfare, A.P. Vijayawada through the reference No:TRICOR/B1/18/2017, dt:07.04.2017 has issued guidelines and also instructed to submit tentative action plan for 2017-18 under OBMMS / SCA-TSP / Pig Rearing / Skill Development etc as per the allocation of budget. Accordingly, the tentative action plan has been prepared as shown below. Soon after finalization of action plan, the same will be submitted to the Spl. Commissioner of Tribal Welfare.

RESIDENTIAL SCHOOLS:
The Govt. was pleased to issue the orders during this year that 23 hostels converted as 13 TW Residential Schools from 3rd to 5th classes only with a concept to upgrade the Residential Schools from 6th to 10th classes by year to year and it shall be complete full pledged Residential Schools up to 2019-20.

There are 5 Post Matric College Hostels are functioning and 284 students were admitted during the year. Only two hostel are functioning in Govt. building and the remaining 3 are in functioning in pvt. Buildings.
There are 6 Corporate Colleges are functioning. As against the target i.e. 43, only 19 ST students admitted.
N.T.R. VIDYONNATHI:
Under the scheme the Govt. has been provided facility to impart the coaching to ST students on free of cost in the reputed institutions those who are going to be appeared the preliminary exams (I.A.S.).

One ST Student by name Devarakonda Rahul has been selected under Ambedkar Overseas Vidya Nidhi and joined in MBBS Course at Khajakistan.
Forest Right Act (RoFR)-2006: The introduction of Forest Right Act by the Govt. of India to give
rights to the forest dwellers to cultivate their lands and rights on forest produces. After careful examination of claims received from various STs through 1st to 3rd Phases, an extent of Acs.782.27 distributed to the 788 ST beneficiaries under RoFR Act and also distributed Title deeds and Pattadar pass books.
ISSUES :The Principals were posted for 12 New Residential Schools only out of 13 schools sanctioned and (6) six Teacher posts were sanctioned (Tel/Eng/Hin/Sci/Mat/SS/Arts & Crafts/PET) to each school but sanctioned teacher posts not yet allotted.
