Notice is hereby given that the Authority proposes to grant taxi licences to operate from FlacqCoeur de Ville.

2. CRITERIAApplicants must satisfy the following criteria:(a) they must be residents of the locality mentioned below and must produce

documentary evidence to that effect;

(b) they must be holder of a valid driving licence for taxi;(c) they must have a clean criminal record for the last three years;(d) they must be the full-time driver in case their applications are successful;(e) they must provide a full-time service at the base of operation in case their

applications have been approved; and(f) they must not have been the holder of a taxi licence which had either lapsed or

been revoked or transferred to a third party.

3. MODE OF APPLICATION(a) Application forms may be collected at the Licensing Section of the Authority, MSI

Building, Cassis between 09h00 and 15h00 on any working day as from 05 February 2018.

(b) Application forms duly filled in, together with a non refundable application fee of Rs. 300, shall be deposited at the Licensing Section on 09 February 2018 by 15h00 at latest.



(c) Applicants must produce the original as well as a copy of the following:(i) Birth Certificate;(ii) National Identity Card; and(iii) Driving Licence.(iv) Utility Bill (CEB or CWA)

Note: Applications received after the closing date shall not be considered.

4. WARNINGAny applicant who knowingly makes a false statement in his application shall commit an offence under section 160 of the Road Traffic Act and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding 10,000 rupees and to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months.
