Hit the Books Winter Term academics support a strong eighth grade
curriculum. Our science and humanities programs prepare
students for the rigors of high school while reinforcing the
importance of process in writing, thought formation and
lab science. Our math and foreign language programs are
individualized to provide the most seamless entry and exit
from their Winter Term experience.
Winter Term students reside on campus in Vogt House, their
own dorm devoted to the program, and are involved in the
tight-knit community that is undeniably Gould. Students attend
daily morning assembly and Formal Dinner every Tuesday night.
They join in the fun of the Winter Carnival, Snow Ball and other
storied school traditions. Community is critical to our
environment at Gould Academy, and we make sure that our
Winter Term students are at the heart of it.
The Winter Term Program is a great way for students to discover
everything that Gould Academy has to offer, while training
competitively in a sport they love. Learning is about more than
just what you read in a classroom, and an education at Gould
spans from the classrooms to the peaks at Sunday River.
Gould’s Winter Term Program begins after
Thanksgiving Weekend and runs until the
completion of competitions in March,
with time off during the December
holiday season. For more information, visit
www.gouldacademy.org or call
207-824-7775. Applications are evaluated after
