Dog of the WeekBronco loves to play with his toys, go for a walk on his lead, and spend lots of time around people. He’s especially fond of dogs who are smaller than him. Bronco is a very affectionate dog - he loves cuddles and wearing his pyjamas of a chilly nighttime. Bronco is just $150 to adopt which includes; vet check, desexing, microchipping, registration with council, vaccination, flea control, heartworm and worming treatment. The Gosford City Animal Shelter is at Pateman Road, Erina and is managed and operated by Gosford Dog Paws.

AT THE LAST COUNCIL MEETINGA planning proposal to permit a resource recovery facility at Kerns Road, Kincumber, is currently on public exhibition. Due to the importance of the planning proposal and the number of residents who may need more time to submit their feedback, council has resolved to extend the public exhibition period for the planning proposal by 14 days from 20 August 2014.

AT THE LAST COUNCIL MEETINGThe Pearl Beach Lagoon Coastal Zone Management Plan has been adopted. The plan is based on sound scientific research and has been developed in partnership with the community and relevant stakeholders. The plan was supported by $30k grant from the Office of Environment and Heritage, which accounted for 50 per cent of the total project cost, and will now be presented to the NSW Minister for the Environment for certification.

AT THE LAST COUNCIL MEETING The Local Infrastructure Renewal Scheme (LIRS) has been instrumental in assisting council to carry out local infrastructure improvements. In rounds one and two of the scheme, council’s successful applications totalled $28 million. Because of this, council will ask the Minister for the Central Coast and local members to lobby for the continuation of LIRS.
