History of the School

Gutsait Sergey Edidovich,Founder of the School

Founded in 1998 as a contemporary version of the Tsarskoselsky Lyceum.

Founder of the School – Sergey Edidovich Gutsait, a successful Saint-Petersburg businessman.

A boarding school for boys aged 11-18.

Only 2 classes of boys study at the same time. When older boys leave the School, new pupils come.

Admission in 1999, 2003, 2006 and 2010.

Tsaskoselsky Lyceum as the School’s prototype

The building of the former Tsarskoselsy Lyceum in the town of

Pushkin

Founded in 1811 by Emperor Alexander I to educate boys from the Emperor’s family and the families of the nobility.

Motto of the Lyceun – For the common good

Graduates: Alexander Pushkin, Alexander Gorchakov, Ivan Puschin, Anton Delvig and other famous Russian historical figures.

А.М. Gorchakov(1798-1883)

А.М. Gorchakov graduated from the Tsarkoselsy Lyceum. He was a prominent Russian diplomat and social figure.

Since 1856 – Minister for international affairs.



Mission, objectives and values of the School

Mission Creation of a new model of a private school on the basis of cooperation between business and the local

community with the objective to educate students able to contribute to the political, economic and social life of Russia.

Objective Prove that cooperation of business and the local community can lead to creation of new schools comparable

with the Tsarskoselsky Lyceum.
