“QR Bar Code” (Quick Response) • How could you use a QR code? • Your business, no matter how small or large, could use QR codes in a number of ways. You might auto generate one next to every product on your web site containing all the product details, the number to call and the URL link to the page so they can show their friends on their cell phone. You could add one to your business card containing your contact details so its easy for someone to add you to their contacts on their cell phone.

Search Engine Optimization

1. Change the title tag to incorporate more keywords (remembering google only displays the first 65 characters. Top 3 Keywords and Geographical area.

2. Change the description tag and also incorporate more keywords using 1 sentence. (Google only displays the first 150 characters. Use a call to Action)

3. Try to put as much content "above the fold" as possible with keyword links (anchor text) back into your website. (Do not use flash graphics)

4. Add the address, city, state, zip and phone number to the top of every page. Google looks for this now to help you move up in the google “7 pack“ (Google Places).

5. List the geographical target areas you service in paragraph form on home page.

6. Add alt tags and rename all images to incorporate keywords. So the images show up on the google image search.

7. Make sure to add a video above the fold and upload it to YouTube.

8. Encourage clients to submit reviews about you on Google and high authority sites.

9. Try to get as many backlinks into your site form high authority sites like yellowpages.com, facebook, MySpace, BBB, twitter, blogs, YouTube and associations.

10. Use social networking to generate more traffic to your business. Create accounts on twitter, facebook, LinkedIn and link those pages to your website.

11. Use analytics to examine your traffic and fine tune as needed.

Places Optimization 1. Claim all your Google Places listings. If your business is already in Google Places then claim that listing,

if not create a new listing. (see Google places guide for more info)

2. Supply Google with as much information as possible to give you a 100% complete listing. Business Hours, Methods of Payment, Coupons, Descriptions, Categories Etc.

3. Create an offer/s or coupon/s and enable it for mobile devices.

4. Share an update on your place page. Make your place page dynamic by updating events, specials and more every 30 days.

5. Upload 10 relevant pictures to your place page. Google is now displaying the first image as a thumbnail on the Google search page. Use your logo or relevant image.

6. Upload at least 1 video to youtube and add the youtube video link to your place page.

7. Your website can influence your place page search results. Add your address, city, state, zip and local phone number in text form on the home page.

8. Add your City & State to every “title tag” of your website. Make sure you have a “description tag” on every page of your website.

9. Google likes reviews. Encourage your customers to review you on these top 6 reviews sites; Google, Yahoo, CitySearch, Yelp, InsiderPages, YellowPages and any niche related sites for your industry like Kudzu, JudysBook, TripAdvisor, Zagat & Dine. Use QR Bar Codes to generate additional reviews.

10. Incorporate your business keywords in your place page listings description and make sure to add “5” relevant categories for your listing.
