Google Glass

What is Google Glass?
• Google Glass is a wearable computer with an optical head mounted display or OHMD (Wikipedia).
Initial Setup
• Google Glass requires the MyGlassApp.
• Follow the directions and pair your Google device (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cAediAS9ADM)
• Once Google Glass is paired you may begin.
Through the Eyes of the User
Students will have the point of view as if they are there.

Classroom Uses for Google Glass
• As an one on one tutor.
• To share hands on lessons.
• To create field trip like experiences without leaving the classroom.
Uses Cont…
• Students can connect with other classrooms in other parts of the world (Social Studies/Geography lessons can come alive).
• Students could learn the customs of other cultures while connecting with others via Google Class.
More Uses
• Students home sick or even home schooled students could have a real time connection with classroom teachers.
• Students would be able to create plays and/or short documentaries as school projects.
Additional Uses
• Remote guest speakers for each child. Students can have the option of “attending” certain seminars.
• Teachers can create video guides for “centers” as children work silently and individually around the room.
• Google Glass in the classroom can provide teachers and students with ever- ready research options.
• Google Glass can add another dimension to flipped classrooms.
