Before you begin, if you’ve never logged into your Google account, you will need to change your computer password

by selecting the keyboard combo CTRL ALT DELETE then select change password. This will sync your Google account

with your district email account.

From the Academia page click on the Google Login Link.

Enter your email address then click Next.

Enter your computer/email password then click Sign in.

Select Organizational Google Apps Account, the first option.

Click on the 3 x 3 rubik’s cube.

Click on the Drive icon.

Click on the sprocket.

Click Download Drive.

Click the Download for PC button.

Click the Accept and Install button.

Click the GoogleDriveSync install file. Lower left side of screen.

Click the Get Started button.

Enter your computer/email password then click Sign in.

Click Next on steps 1 thru 3.

You should see the Google Drive icon appear on the lower right side of your screen. Click Done to complete the install.

Once the installation is complete you should have the Google Drive icon appear under file explorer similar to Dropbox.

Google Drive is free to school districts and comes with unlimited cloud drive storage. It’s encrypted and HIPPA

compliant as well.

The invitation emails you receive will look like the one below. Please click the Open icon.

This will open a browser window like the one below. Click Add to Drive on the upper right side. This action will place

the shared folder or file in your Google Drive that you can access from the client on your desktop.

If you fail to perform the Add to Drive action, you will not see the resource on your Google Drive client. It will only

appear under Shared with Me through the web browser.
