Betty Marthaler, Good Neighbor Club Director Dear Good Neighbor Club Members,

I think summer has finally arrived, and I hope you have been able to enjoy these beautiful days and longer evenings. I

take care of their travelers. Speaking of River Cruising, you will find an insert regarding our Columbia River Cruise

and if you have experienced it, you will want to go again. This trip has been scheduled as it was suggested to me by a

Five Presidents

Wednesday, September 25th

1:30 pm—Lunch at Michaels

Five Presidents brings us back 25 years into the Executive Board Room at the Nixon Library

on April 27th, 1994. It is the day of Richard Nixon’s funeral and an historic occasion that

brought the five living presidents, four exes and one current, together to mourn, honor and

discuss one of our history’s most controversial political figures. This is a fictional take of

what might Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton

have discussed while gathered prior to the service. Maybe some soul searching among great

men so rarely together or, would these leaders of the free world prefer banter, small talk,

jokes or petty bickering?

Author Rick Cleveland, an Emmy winning writer/producer whose credits include THE

WEST WING, MAD MAN, MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE, demonstrates that he can make

government leaders engaging on stage as well. “It is partisan party, but this ex-president club is a partisan club.”

Because this is a shorter production, we will spend a little time after the show to enjoy the shops of Excelsior. There will be time for

coffee or a little shopping. Each time we travel through the city we mention how fun it would be to spend time, so I will work that

into the schedule.

Price: Good Neighbor Club Member $55 Prospective Member $65

Payment due with Reservation.

Departure time: New London 9:00 am, Spicer 9:15 am, and Willmar 9:30 am

Please Note Good Neighbor Club Members who use their Good Neighbor Club Checking Account to pay will receive a 3% discount!

readying the taverna for all the guests to stay. Sophie dreams of her dad walking her down the aisle but there is one

problem...she doesn’t know his name. Months before the big day, Sophie discovers Donna’s diary and learns about three

past boyfriends who may fit the bill. She sends letters to the men inviting them to return to the island but signs them as

Donna—a decision that will rock the little Greek island. On the eve of the wedding, guests begin to arrive and check in.
