• This is a good example of a bad slide. It is very wordy. Wordiness can create several problems:– Slides like this place burdens on the audience. Often

they will start reading instead of listening. And when they grow tired of reading, they will simply allow their minds to drift off and think about things like what they are going to have for lunch or something.

– It’s not too good for the speaker either. It almost forces the speaker to memorize the slides. When unable to do so, he or she usually ends up reading them aloud, which gets very uninteresting very fast.
