ThermoRAIL

Thermorail is the best way to add warmth and comfort to your towels and bathroom. It is the perfect complement to Thermonet underfloor heating.

Thermorail stainless steel heated towel rails are ‘dry element’ operated for rapid heating and long element life. This increases towel rail efficiency, consuming less energy to maintain the same temperatures under towels.

Your safety is our concern. All Thermorail heated towel rails comply with AS/NZS60335 and AS/NZS3820 safety standards with an IP44 rating. Rails have a 5 year warranty on manufacturing quality.

Installation instructions are included with the rail. These units however must be installed by a licensed electrician. It is recommended they be installed 600mm above the floor and electrical connections must be 600mm away from water.

DRY ELEMENT – NO LIQUID

Thermorail towel rails have a polished stainless steel finish which is easy to clean and maintain.

WIRING OPTIONS – Most Thermorail towel rails are available with concealed or exposed wiring and with left or right hand cable entry. The concealed wiring (hard wired) option gives a truly contemporary and smart look whilst the exposed (plug in) option is mainly used in existing rooms that have a nearby power point. PREFER A LIQUID FILLED BATHROOM RADIATOR?

Most Thermorails are dry element which is more efficient and acts as a towel dryer and warmer, giving some background warmth. Thermorail can supply liquid filled radiators which can be used as electric only or part of your central heating system. Please enquire about liquid filled and dual fuel options.

Can Thermorail be mounted upside down?

Yes, All Thermorails can be mounted either way up and with concealed wiring no wiring will be seen. Thermorails come with right hand bottom wiring so when turned over the wiring will pass through the left hand top bracket. (Some models are supplied with left bottom wiring if required.)

What are the running costs of Thermorail?

Thermorail Heated Towel Rails are “dry element” operated for rapid heating and long element life. This increases the efficiency of the towel rail so it consumes less energy to maintain the same temperature under towels. Typically Thermorails cost the same to run as an average light bulb and running costs can be further reduced by adding an eco switch or timer to the rail (see page 17 for options).

Designed for modern bathrooms with square fittings, the SS range features 28mm square vertical rails with 18mm square horizontal rails. Minimum depth from the wall, these rails fit into tight spaces whilst allowing plenty of room to hang and dry towels.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What are typical mounting positions and wiring options for Thermorail?

Thermorail can be mounted according to your design and requirements but typically are mounted 600mm off the floor and 600mm away from water. Rails come with exposed or concealed wiring option. Please refer to the specification chart on page 23 for details on which rails are available in left and right hand wiring.

Will Thermorail heat my bathroom?

Thermorail dry element rails are designed as a towel dryer and warmer and not as a radiator. Whilst some warmth will be added to the room, Thermorail as such will not heat the room. It is the perfect complement to Thermonet Underfloor Heating.

ThermoRAIL SWITCHED

Thermorail Switched Rails feature a switch on the bottom of the left leg and saves having an additional switch to be wired in. There are two sizes of straight round rails, both with 25mm uprights and 18mm horizontal bars. Concealed wiring is through a fifth leg supplied with the rail.

ThermoRAIL FM RANGE

The FM floor mounted heated rail features 32mm uprights with 25mm horizontal rails and is ideal in situations where wall space is unavailable. It can only be used in applications where there is access to the floor for wiring.

ThermoRAIL FS RANGE

The sturdy Free Standing rail has 24mm upright rails and legs with adjustable feet and 18mm horizontal rails. Suitable in many situations, it takes up very little room and stores flat. Can be used to dry and warm towels or to warm clothes overnight. The cord length including plug is 1.2m.

The square Free Standing rail features 40 x 25mm uprights with 30 x 15mm horizontal bars giving a sleek, clean look. It has rubber feet under the base to prevent sliding or scratching on hard floors.

ThermoRAIL 12V RANGE

Thermorail 12 Volt Heated Towel Rails are a modular system consisting of single rails allowing you to choose your own spacing and angle of fitting. Typical spacing is 250mm but can be varied according to your requirements. Usually rails are installed in multiples of 3 or 4 but as many as required can be installed as a set. Transformers are supplied as a part of the rail package according to the number of rails used. As the 12V rails have completely concealed wiring, some pre-wiring in the wall cavity will be required. Rails are designed to operate at the same temperature as standard rails and have the advantage of an added level of safety for use in wet areas.

Non-heated versions of the styles shown below are also available.

ES10 ECO SWITCH

Economy switch used to switch between full power & half power, as a power saving device for Thermorail. MT10 MANUAL TIMER

Manual rotary plug in timer with override switch used for switching Thermorails. Timer can be set to switch at 15 minute intervals.

DT10 PROGRAMMABLE DIGITAL TIMER

Programmable plug in timer used for switching Thermorails. Timer can be set to switch 8 times every 24 hours and 7 days per week.

MB11 DIN RAIL TIMER

Mounted in the electrical meter box, this DIN Rail Timer allows you to program your rail on a weekly cycle with 17 on/off settings and a manual override.

ET12C ECO TIMER

The eco timer is a simple timing device designed to go behind the switch plate (supplied with the timer). The timer is pre-set to turn on twice daily for a 4 hour period. The programmed time can be extended up to 11 hours and three heat settings can be selected: 50%, 75% and 100%.

DT12C 7 DAY DIGITAL TIMER

Programmable hard wired timer used for switching Thermorails. Timer can be set for 6 time settings over a seven day period.

EB11 BOOST SWITCH

Allows you to boost the heat for 4 different periods of time without having to remember to switch it off. Thermorail will revert back to it’s off mode after the selected amount of time thus reducing energy consumption.

ThermoRAIL NON-HEATED RANGE

Thermorail non-heated rails boast the same quality features as the heated models but with larger spacing between rails and no heating element. The square rail has 28mm uprights with 18mm horizontal rails and the round model has 32mm uprights and 20mm horizontal rails. All single rails on page 16 are available as non-heated.

The chrome plated solid brass tile in floor wastes have a centre recess which allows a coordinated tile to be at one with the surrounding floor tiles, in effect disappearing into the overall décor. Alternatively use the centre tile recess to highlight a feature or constrasting tile. ThermoMIRROR

Mirrors are virtually guaranteed to steam up when using bathrooms and showers due to the condensing effect of cold glass. Now there is a clear solution – Thermomirror.

No more need to wipe mirrors dry because Thermomirror is a superthin (0.4mm) behind mirror heating element, controlled by the light switch or our PIR movement sensor.

Thermomirror can also be wired through an electromagnetic valve and relay which operates only when the hot water is running, thus saving power and ensuring the mirror de-mister cannot be left on. Self adhesive backing makes installation very easy. A totally safe, value for money add-on to any project.
