All: God of Radical Love, have mercy on us.

Though you gave us your son,who lived among us, ! teaching us yourways. We turned away.


Though you gave us your son, who healed our illnesses, who removed our

demons, We turned away.


Though you gave us your son, we did not feed him when he was hungry,or offer drink when he was thirsty, We did not visit him in prison, when hewas sick, or wipe his tears. We turned away.


Though we are unworthy you gave us your son, who washed our feet,who prayed for us, who sought to love us as a hen loves her brood. And

we turned away.


Though we are unworthy you gave us your son, who gave his body, hisblood, and his unconditional love, You gave us your son, who gave his all.

And still we turn away.

*Call to Worship! ! ! ! ! !Minister: We gather to remember the one who was wounded by our

transgressions, crushed by our iniquities;Through him we were made whole, and by his bruises we are healed.

All: Christ himself bore our sins in his body on the tree,

that we might die to sin and live to righteousness.

*InvocationRuler and God of all creation,We come to you, this evening mindful of your worthiness,

You alone are due our worship.We know that you are ever-present in our lives,

yet we sometimes forget you.Make yourself known to us,

heighten our sensitivities,expand our openness,

that we might recognize your presence this evening.

Make yourself known to us,on this somber and holy day.

May our worship be acceptable to you. Amen

Leader 1: But the other rebuked him, saying,!Leader 2: "Do you not fear God, since you are under the same sentence ofcondemnation? And we indeed have been condemned justly, for we aregetting what we deserve for our deeds, but this man has done nothingwrong."

Leader 1: Then he said,!Leader 2: "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom."

All: He replied, "Truly I tell you, today you will be with me inParadise."
