Fashion Commentary: 1930

& 2014

Fashion of 30s was very elegant. I'm gonna be talking about female fashion, because I think men's fashion hasn't changed as much as women's. In 1930 skirt's lenght was always long, and the shortest one was always under knee. Colours and prints were very varied. In those years women wore long coats and the use of dresses was very frequent. Most of times, the hair of women was short and if it was long they used to make some hairdo to collect it and look always neat, besides, women wore big headdresses and hats, even in a casual coordinate. By the way, high heels weren't too high, you can see the highest shoe I could find of this year in the picture below.

Nowadays fashion has no limits, it holds every tendencies of the past and every year these tendencies are updated. We have as many textures as materials and most of times the shape of the clothes can be recognized in the past years. Now women use jeans and trousers as a casual piece of her coordinates. Dresses are considered good for special occasions. The fashion of 2014 shows the body of women with low necks and transparencies. By the other hand, every women wear leggings or skinny pants ever, because today's fashion looks for tall bodies and long thin legs. By the way, high heels are very high and most of them have platform as you can see in the picture below.

Well, I love fashion and I can say that my favorite fashion ever is the 30's fashion because I think is very classy and elegant, and everitime I watch a movie of these years, I

love watching those beautilul dresses shinning in the black & white screan and I think it's my favorite fashion.
