GONG TERRAZZO

Un effetto finale unico e non replicabile: il tavolino Gong Terrazzo di Giulio Cappellini rappresenta un’eclettica variante dell’iconico prodotto da lui disegnato. In questa edizione, contraddistinta anch’essa da un’assoluta purezza progettuale, il tavolino presenta una veste con piano d’appoggio laccato opaco “effetto terrazzo” che riproduce tutto il fascino del seminato veneziano. Il tavolino Gong è smontabile e la sua struttura è realizzata in lamiera con stelo in tubo di ferro, verniciato opaco bianco o antracite.

Unique and inimitable: the Gong Terrazzo table is an eclectic version of the iconic product designed by Giulio Cappellini. For this edition, still contradistinguished by the absolute purity of design, the table is adorned with a matte top that has been lacquered to create a “terraced effect” that is evocative of the charming Venetian mosaic flooring. The small Gong table can be disassembled and the base is made of sheet metal with a tubular iron stem, matte varnished in white or anthracite.

Trained as an architect in Milan, Giulio Cappellini is an emblematic figure in the international design panorama. Animated by an indomitable spirit and the curiosity of someone who wants to renew himself continuously, Cappellini dedicates himself to design by offering his personal revision of contemporary design, both for the brand that bears his name, and as art director for other important brands in the field.Through his most ambitious project, his company, Cappellini has become a bona fide trendsetter, such that he has become universally recognized as a talent scout for young professionals. Numerous names have been launched through collaborations with his brand: Jasper Morrison, Marc Newson, Marcel Wanders, the Bouroullec and Nendo brothers, just to name a few. His lectures at international design schools are also very popular, at institutions such as Istituto Marangoni, for which he is also Art Director, and other establishments around the world where he is invited as a visiting professor.

Formatosi come architetto a Milano, Giulio Cappellini è una figura emblematica nel panorama internazionale del design. Animato da uno spirito indomito e dalla curiosità di chi vuole continuamente rinnovarsi, Cappellini svolge il suo lavoro di progettista proponendo una personale rilettura del design contemporaneo, sia per il marchio che porta il suo nome, sia in qualità di art director per altre importanti aziende del settore.Con il suo progetto più ambizioso, quello di “azienda”, Cappellini diventa un vero e proprio “trend setter”, fino ad essere riconosciuto universalmente come talent scout di giovani professionisti. In molti sono stati poi i lanciati attraverso collaborazioni chiave con l’Azienda: Jasper Morrison, Marc Newson, Marcel Wanders, i fratelli Bouroullec e Nendo, per citarne alcuni. Seguitissime sono anche le sue lezioni presso prestigiose scuole di design internazionali come Istituto Marangoni della quale è anche art director ed altri istituti nel mondo dai quali è invitato come visiting professor.
