Program Facts & Goals

Entering Year Two of National PGA Golf 2.0 supported program.

125 Teams from 12 states participated in 2012.

24 Teams competed in six Regional events last year.

6 Teams played for the National PGA JLG crown at “World Series”

(Team California won in 2012)

Program Open to Youth Golfers• Boys and Girls welcome• Ages 13 and under• Facility teams of min. 12/max.

Teams consist of 12-16 Players

Local Leagues consist of 4-7 teams in reasonable geographic proximity

4-6 week Regular Season, with 2-3 home competitions & 2-3 away competitions against other PGA-JLG teams in your league

Top Local Team finisher advances to Regional Championships TBA in August

Team vs. Team competitions consist of four 9-hole matches (only 4 tee times at your golf course)

Format: 2-person, match play scramble. Matches are broken into 3-hole “Flag” segments. This allows for substitutions, giving every participant a chance to play each week.

February Register team by signing up online:

www.pgajrleague.com. Receive recruitment materials for PGA-JLG HQ & Invite

your youth golfers to play. (Promo examples next slide) Direct parents to website to register their kids.March Receive team kits (Jerseys, Balls, Bag Tags, Handbook,

etc)April Coordinate teams & Conduct pre-season coaches clinics

& practices. Recruit parent volunteers to help with logistics.
