Mr. Nay joined Mallinckrodt in 1933 as ass i s tan t mgr . of the Chicago office, became mgr. in 1935, and in 1949 was named mgr. of the nor th centra l s ta tes region.

He was act ive in several chemical and drug industry associations.

Always conscious of his civic responsi-bility, he was president of the Flossmoor, Illinois, P a r k Distr ic t in 1946, Cha i rman of the Drug and Chemical Division Commit-tee for the Chicago Red Cross in 1945, and of a similar commit tee for the Communi ty Fund in the same year. In 1946 he was Community Fund Chairman of the Manu-fac tu re r s Division. He was also head of the Drug and Chemical Division of the Boy Scouts.
