For those who don't know you yet: tell us who are you and where are you from.

I'm tekno, a female graffiti artist from Boise, Idaho, USA.

Page 4: GOLD Graffiti Magazine - Special Issue - Interview with TEK-no - February 2012

TEK-no is just another version of tekno. No real special meaning but it is a nickname that came from my friends. I listen to a lot of electro and techno, and that's where it came from.

What means "TEK-no" ? Is there a special meaning or is it a fictional nickname?

How much time takes you to do a sketch?

Sometimes 10-15 minutes. Sometimes a bit longer than that, especially since I'm a total newbie at graffiti.

What is your motivation in doing graffiti? Is there any connection with the music you listen to, your family or your education?

I do it because I love it. I love art and graffiti is just another way to express myself. There definitely is a connection with the music I listen to and my family supports my art & graffiti.

What would you have done if you hadn't been started drawing graffiti?

I'd probably just be drawing manga styled art like I do now as well. Or I'd be at home wasting my life away on a video game.

What is your opinion about the culture

in which we are involved?

Well, I've only been about of the culture for a very small amount of time. But from only being in it for that amount of time, I've gathered that writers are really helpful and it's like one big family. We're inspiring each other and helping each other out. It's awesome!
