1 Gold Coast Cymbidium Growers Collector's Auction Catalog Saturday January 12, 2019 Time: Auction starts at 1:00 PM Bidder registration and plant preview from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM Plant check- in from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM Place: The San Mateo Garden Center, 605 Parkside Way, San Mateo. Take the Alameda de las Pulgas exit off Highway 92. Turn south. The Garden Center is located between 26th and 28th Avenues. 2019 Auction Conduct Rules: 1) No plant will be allowed into the building the day of the auction unless it is on the auction list below or is a pre- approved substitute for one on the list that was damaged. 2) Labels for all auction plants will be provided to the sellers/donors when the plants are checked in. 3) If a plant carrying a minimum bid does not sell at the declared minimum bid, said plant will be subject to reverse bidding until successfully auctioned. 4) Successful bids and bidders will be tracked on a projector screen. Photos of the plants (if available) will also be projected on a screen as they are presented for auction. 5) Bidder checkout will not begin until the last plant is auctioned. Receipt to bidders will include a printout of their successful bids. 6) Payment to sellers and acknowledgement to donors will include a printout of each of their entries with the sales amount. 7) No pre-sale of plants allowed once plant information is submitted to Auction Chair.
