BEGINNING OF THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2018-19
APRIL – An action packed month ATL Community Day: ‘Innovation for all’
“CREATING INNOVATORS FROM COMMUNITY TO SOLVE
COMMUNITY PROBLEMS” Welcome to the world of making and celebrating the gift of child’s
imagination. We are proud to share with you that we are among a few schools to receive the grant to
set up the prestigious Atal Tinkering Laboratory under the aegis of NITI Aayog,
Government of India. ATL is a workplace where young minds can give shape to their ideas
through hands-on – do-it-yourself mode and learn innovation skills.
Atal Tinkering Lab Community Day was celebrated on 14 April 2018 on the occasion of Dr
B.R Ambedkar’s birth day with bright young innovators. Students from different schools
were invited to be a part of the celebration and give wings to their spirit of innovation.
The day also witnessed the inaugural function of the Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) in the school
by honourable DC of Palwal district Dr. Maniram Sharma who lauded the efforts made by
the students in making different models.

“Earn your success based on service to others, not at the

Guides Haryana State, recognised by Govt. of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports,
by the trainers of the organisation from 17th April 2018 to 21st April 2018. The DEO of
Palwal district, Ms Suman Nain addressed the students and briefed them about the
organisation and its underlying motive i.e. to lay the ground work to prepare future
citizens who would be favourably inclined to serve the nation and those in need. The idea
was to teach the students the three basic principles which should be followed to make life
worth living. The three basic principles are:
Duty To God, Duty To Others, Duty To Self

Campaign on Road Safety:
‘Accidents Do Not Happen, They Are Caused.’
A strategic initiative is taken by the District Legal Authority, Palwal to generate
awareness among students on road safety. The slogan of the campaign ‘You
Are Precious’ is apt to inspire students to follow traffic rules for their own
wellbeing.
Advocate Narayan Singh Parmar, Legal Aid Counsel, District Court, Palwal
addressed the students in the morning assembly and spoke at length on the
topic. Each and every aspect of Motor Vehicle Act and repercussions of
violating traffic rules were made clear to all.
Activities like Poster Making and Traffic Quiz were also conducted to raise
awareness among students.
It was truly a commendable and a laudable effort by the authority.
Celebration of Earth Day and Health Day:
Our school gives due importance to the celebration of important days
mentioned in the CBSE Academic Calendar to inculcate the basic virtues like
compassion, knowledge, discipline, leadership, care and concern for the
environment etc. in young citizens of the country. Celebration of Earth Day
and Health Day is a way to promote a clean and safe living environment for a
healthy living.
A Slogan Writing and Poster Making Competition was held to mark the
importance of these days .Whole hearted participation of the students was
witnessed and winners of the competition were awarded Certificates of Merit.
Creative Talents of the school:
BEGINNING OF THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2018-19
Another academic year has been unfolded and the school overflows with HOPE and
PROMISE for an eventful and bright academic year ahead. We extend a special warm
welcome to all our parents and sincerely hope and wish that they enjoy their stay with
the Golaya family. Each day we make deposits in the memory bank of our children. Let’s
join our hands to give our children the best of memories that they would cherish
throughout their lives.
Parents are requested to read the pages of the diary given to their wards carefully and
make sure they abide by the rules and regulations and ensure the same for their wards as
bringing up a child is the joint responsibility of both parents and teachers. The values we
instil today will definitely take care of their tomorrows.
Please take note of the following issues for the session:
Punctuality at school: All the students are expected to be in the school
campus by 7.20am during summer and by 8.20am
during winter. Please help your children get to school
on time.
Effective use of TENO App:
We attach a lot of importance to students’ activities in the
class and keep updating parents regarding their ward’s
performance and progress on a regular basis. Parents are
requested to subscribe to the app for the purpose.
Instructions to Parents
Designated persons for picking up students:
Parents are to inform the school office /teacher
concerned about who is supposed to pick up their
ward/s every day. Remember to alert us whenever any
alternative arrangement is made.
Emergency Plan:
In case of an emergency call from the school
(which is done only on health grounds) parents are
requested to come and meet the principal and
take the child back home. It’s mandatory for the
person (whosoever comes to take the child back
home) to produce the I – Card in the office before
being given the permission to take the child back
home.
Celebrating Success With The CHAMPIONS Of Golaya!!!
A dream doesn’t become reality through magic; it takes sweat,
determination and hard work.
--- Colin Powell
