Raccoon Valley Fisheries located in Pleasant Hill, Missouri, is a family owned and operated business that has opened for the fall season.
Rick Keeney, owner, said the business services customers on the western side of the state as well as the eastern side of Kansas.
As they head into the fall season, they offer premiere stocking fi sh such as walleye, North-ern yellow perch, bluegill, catfi sh and large-mouth bass. The fi sh can be ordered for pickup or can be delivered.
“Our ability to deliver to any pond or lake
stocking need makes us a one stop shop for your new pond or for adding to a developed lake,” Rick said. “Whether it is one fi sh or 1,000, we can help develop the best stocked pond for fi shing.”
In addition, they offer koi for water gardens in various sizes.
“Koi are a Japanese carp that are colorful and koi ponds are very popular right now,” Rick said. “They are very beautiful fi sh.”
He said the business opened in 1963 and he has owned the fi shery since 1999.
“We sell freshwater fi sh with the exception of trout,” Rick said. “The most commonly sold fi sh are catfi sh, bluegill and bass.”

Rick’s Tire Service in Windsor, Missouri, opened in 1992 with the goal of providing tire service and vehicle repairs to the local community.
Rick Fosnow, owner, said they offer new and used tires for vehi-cles and agricultural equipment. He owns the shop with his wife and his daughter aids in managing the shop.
“I can get a hold of about any brand of tire,” Fosnow said. “We are in a farm community and there are farmers around me so I do quite a few tractor tires.”
He said used tires are harder to locate but he can offer them to some customers.
“The used fi res are what I can trade for off of vehicles,” Fosnow said. “The new vehicles coming out require bigger tires than the older cars. The used tires are just not around as much anymore.”
