God knew that if credit were extended, there is a 100% chance that borrowers will borrow more than is possible to pay back.

So God commanded Israel to practice JUBILEE every fifty years

Leviticus 25:8-17 Jubilee is God’s way of purging excess

debt. He commanded Israel to practice this

national debt purge every 50 years. We have no such debt purge

mechanism in our society.

With no planned Jubilees as God prescribed, we will inevitably experience unplanned Jubilees. A modern-day word for an unplanned

Jubilee is, a Depression.

Wealth Transfer in Jubilee

Whether planned or unplanned, every Jubilee is accompanied by a large transfer of wealth.

Proverbs 13:22b “But the wealth of the wicked is stored up for the righteous.”

So according to the Bible, who are the financially wicked and righteous?

Psalm 37:21 “The wicked borrows and does not repay; But the righteous shows mercy and gives.”

So, according to the Bible, the wealth of the one who borrows and does not repay (wicked) is stored up for the one who shows mercy and gives (righteous).

Meekness in Finances

Matthew 5:5 “Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth (land)”

Having great power or capacity and using very little of it.Vines Bible dictionary says, Meekness is

“the fruit of power.” “The common assumption is that when a man is meek, it is because he cannot help himself; but the Lord was meek because He had the infinite resources of God at His command.”

– Having diminished power or capacity and using more than 100% of it.

– Our culture has no sense of meekness

– Meekness requires:• Denying self short-term• Sowing for the long-term

Three Critical Steps to Survive

1. Eliminate all debt 2. Make clear distinction between Core

Wealth and Risk capital, and remove Core Wealth from all exposure to risk (all markets).

3. Store Core Wealth in a safe place.

Two Strategies to Thrive

1. Prepare to use cash to purchase land, houses, businesses for a small percentage of prior value as the wealth transfers.

2. Invest Risk Capital in instruments that trade the opposite of financial and other markets that you believe may crash in the next phase of the Jubilee cycle.
