VIGESIMO–PRIMER DOMINGO DEL TIEMPO ORDINARIO En el libro de Josué es el Señor Dios Padre quien pregunta al pueblo de Israel si quiere abandonarle. Nuestra primera lectura de hoy nos ofrece un buen ejemplo de fidelidad al Señor. Bien podemos decir todos como Josué: “Serviremos al Señor, porque Él es nuestro Dios. Terminamos hoy la lectura sucesiva, en varios domingos, del Salmo 33. Maravillosa oración de acción de gracias por el Señor que nos salva de todos los peligros. Es un salmo para la oración personal y comunitaria. San Pablo nos da una lección de respeto conyugal que debemos leer con ojos y efectos de hoy. Vamos, pues, a escuchar en nuestra segunda lectura de hoy --en la Carta a los Efesios-- la formulación de un gran misterio de amor que, por supuesto alcanza a los conyuges, pero también al prodigioso misterio de amor de Cristo y de su Iglesia. Hoy, llama la atención, especialmente, el evangelio de Juan.
Se produce una fractura, una ruptura entre Cristo y sus discípulos. Es un momento dramático. Jesús, preguntará a Pedro –como lo hace con nosotros todos los días— si queremos marcharnos de su lado. Y la única respuesta posible es la de Simón.
