Commercial Air Conditioning and Heat Pumps

GL Air Conditioning

Our extensive range of commercial split systems enable us to

provide a solution to any commercial application request. All of

the manufacturers which we install deliver some of the best

COPs and EERs (Coefficient of Performance and Energy

Efficiency Ratios) in the industry, with many systems A/A rated

and qualifying for the Enhanced Capital Allowances Scheme.

Energy efficiency is usually top of the client’s list when these

systems are installed with all manufacturers updating and

improving their equipment with all of the latest technology

available.

With the large variety of indoor units available, air conditioning

and heat pump systems can be installed anywhere. Our sales

team would guide our client through the options available to

them to suit the application and area so as to create a

comfortable and enjoying working environment.


Indoor units are available in various

types, such as wall mounted, floor

mounted, ceiling cassette,

suspended under ceiling and

ducted. These units can be installed

as individual split systems meaning

there is one type of indoor unit

served by one outdoor unit or a

multi type split system where there

are maybe two, three or four

indoor units served by one outdoor

unit.

For larger commercial projects,

such as office buildings and hotels,

our VRF (variable refrigerant

volume) systems deliver industry-

leading energy efficiency and

flexible installation layout, based

on state-of-the-art technology.

We can offer an extensive range of

system types, two-pipe heat pump systems up to 135kW,designed for commercial projects where either heating or

cooling is required, or for projects where simultaneous heating and cooling is required we can supply three-pipe

heat recovery systems, with the capacity to run up to 48 indoor units and more depending on manufacturer, all

connected to one large outdoor unit.

We also offer a wide selection of control systems ranging from high-

specification local remote controls, to touch screen centralised

controllers to interface with BMS systems (building management

systems), such as LONworks, BACnet and Trend.

Residential Climate Control - Air to Air Heat Pumps

In a large number of homes within today’s market

there is a high demand for a quality state of the art

climate control system.

With the rising costs of gas and electric suppliers

the need for energy saving equipment is becoming

more common and in a lot of clients eyes a

necessity.

Godfrey Lappage can supply a large range of

residential climate control systems to deliver

optimal cooling and heating for a comfortable living

environment.

With the added luxury of good air filtration and low

sound levels combined with attractive and modern

design, high energy efficiency and controlled by all

of the up to date technology controls these systems

are becoming superb value for money systems.

There are various options available, wall mounted,

floor mounted and also ducted systems. With the

new latest inverter-driven compressors, we can

deliver the highest level of energy efficiency, with

many systems qualifying for the Enhanced Capital

Allowances Scheme.

If you require more than one indoor unit then we

can offer a multi split system. This system can offer

a number of indoor units served by one outdoor

condensing unit.

These systems offer all of the previously mentioned

specifications and are highly recommended for

multiple room projects to again reach a high energy

efficiency level and in turn reducing carbon levels.

One of our sales team would happily attend a site

survey and collect all the relevant information

including measurements, heat loads and photos to

create a full heat load calculation which in turn

would lead onto a full detailed quotation detailing

all of the options available to our client.

Energy Savings

With its best in class COP performance, an air to water heat pump system delivers more heating power with less energy consumption. These systems use high quality components and materials which contribute to the overall savings in energy consumption. With the advanced inverter, air to water heat pump systems only deliver the heating capacity required; thus consuming only the necessary electricity. The hot water temperature is also optimized thanks to the advanced control system depending on the outside air temperature. The milder outside, the air-to-water systems automatically produces lower water temperature to anticipate decreased needs of space heating. The same control logic allows to anticipate as well increasing heating needs when weather conditions become extreme; this overall temperature management gives the best conditions of comfort. All this saving has a positive impact on the personal electricity bill and the whole community by reducing the CO₂ emissions in the atmosphere.

Existing Boilers

In existing dwellings already equipped with traditional

gas or fuel boilers, an air to water heat pump system

can be combined with the existing heating system to

cover exclusively and in an optimized way all the

heating needs, all year round. Then, the boiler is only

used as a back-up source during some extreme

weather days of the winter. The intelligent Toshiba

control balances the energy source in the most

efficient way.

Residential Air to Water Heat Pump Systems

The increase of CO₂ and other greenhouse gases is a key concern.

Following the European commitment of reducing 20% of the

emissions by 2020, energy waste from residential space heating and

domestic hot water have been identified as the possible reduction

targets. Air to water heat pumps are considered as renewable

energy technology compared to heating systems dependent on fossil

fuel or non-efficient electrical heating. They are now considered as

ideal solutions for space heating and domestic hot water. Residential

heat production by means of gas, oil or electricity contribute to raise

the CO₂ emissions level in the atmosphere. In addition these

traditional heating systems are less efficient and therefore the

energy running costs increase. Air to water heat pumps are the ideal

solution to increase energy efficiency (COP), using air as a main

source of energy. This is an all in one system designed to deliver the

right temperature for space heating, for domestic sanitary hot water

and with the additional advantage of offering air conditioning in the

warmer seasons.

Restricted Location Air Conditioning Solutions

solutions for either commercial or

residential buildings which have restriction

issues regarding the location of an external

condensing unit.

Apartments, flats and listed buildings are

just a few types of properties where these

issues occur regularly especially in Central

London and the West End.

With the availability in todays market of

water cooled condensing units and also

through the wall air conditioning systems,

the situation where the clients have had

their wish for air conditioning refused due

to planning restrictions including noise

levels and unsightly condensing units can

now become a reality.

of our sales team would happily attend your

premises and carry out a full site survey,

explaining all the options available to

provide a full controlled climate.


GL Air Conditioning


Water cooled condensing units are becoming more and

more popular due to as previously mentioned many

commercial and residential property's having an external

condensing unit totally prohibited so therefore meaning

another option is required. As mentioned before the

through the wall unit is an option but this is only viable if

the unit backs onto an external wall. If an external wall is

not available then another option is needed and this is

where a water cooled condensing unit can be the solution.

A water cooled system contains all of the equipment inside

your premises. These systems comprise of an indoor unit

of choice (wall mounted, cassette, ducted, floor mounted)

which is situated in the room to be cooled and a water

cooled condensing unit which would be situated in another

area. The water cooled condensing unit can be located in

any area or space as long as a mains cold water feed and a

drainage point can be run to the unit. Interconnecting

refrigeration pipe work and cables would then be run

between the indoor unit and the water cooled condensing

unit and then connected at both ends using specialist

refrigeration tools.

Water Cooled Condensing Units

This system uses the mains cold water supply to cool the

condenser whereas outdoor condensing units use the

ambient air and a condenser fan to cool the condenser

but the functions are the same. The system would be

controlled by a user friendly remote controller the same

as other air conditioning units.

One of our sales team would attend site and carry out a

full survey, taking photos and also taking all details

required including measurements and sources of heat to

create a heat load calculation. Once this has been created

we would liaise with the client and present a full

quotation with the heat load calculations and the options

available to create a system which will not only satisfy

the heat load required but also the design aspect to

create the look and desired climate controlled comfort

feeling.

Commercial Refrigeration Equipment Sales

Godfrey Lappage can provide various types and models of upright and under counter fridges and freezers, blast chillers,

blast freezers, ice makers, display fridges, wine coolers, bottle coolers, cellar coolers, mortuary's and all sizes of walk in

coldrooms as well as all other types of commercial refrigeration equipment.

With our diverse armoury of manufacturer partnerships and contacts we can provide refrigeration solutions for all

applications. One to five year warranty’s depending on manufacturers terms can be offered and also finance can be

arranged. Fast delivery times are also available but again this depends on the manufacturer and their stock. We would

deliver to site, remove the packaging and then take the rubbish away. We would then run and test the equipment to

the correct temperature and explain to the client the settings and functions of the system until they are totally happy

with their purchase.

Modular Coldrooms

Modular coldrooms are delivered flat packed

(pic 1) including all ancillary parts required.

With the award wining cam lock design (pic 2)

on the joints, these coldrooms can be erected

(pic 3, 4, 5, 6) and running down to

temperature in a few hours.

Modular coldrooms are available in over 300

different sizes which therefore offers clients a

diverse option range to choose from and suit

most requirements and needs. These

coldrooms are delivered with the equipment

which are integral systems, LED lighting, all

door furniture and shelving to suit which

make these types of coldrooms perfect for the

client who requires a quick turnaround from

placing an order to job completion.

A variety of temperature ranges are available

and are a great choice for establishments such

as commercial kitchens, hotels, fast food

outlets, public houses, care homes,

restaurants and hospitals. With the ease of

installation plus the cost factor in relation to

a commercial cabinet , these coldrooms are a

Bespoke Walk in Coldrooms

Bespoke Coldrooms are designed to be made to suit any size, so all clients have full flexibility and control in their vision of maximizing every bit of space available to them. With the limitless choice of panel sizes, doors can be fitted anywhere to suit the clients needs.

All Coldrooms panels are manufactured using insulation which complies with all of the latest legislations and regulations and then this is sandwiched between PVC laminate sheets which suit all food safe and contact recommendations. Internal and external coving and trim would be fitted to the coldroom panels to create a smooth and modern design look. Panels and joints would be fully sealed on installation so a full air tight seal is created.

Coldroom doors can be normal hinged type or the sliding type which is very popular. All doors would be supplied with top quality door furniture and be fully lockable. With bespoke doors being made to order, various sizes are available to suit a pallet or fork lift truck with various widths and heights.

On larger coldrooms, the ceilings would be fully suspended and supported so all coldrooms are built to the total health and safety regulation and building specification.

Extras are also available including shelving, plastic strip curtains, bumper bars, personnel doors etc. so all clients project visions can become a reality.

Our top of the range condensing units are designed and manufactured with all of the correct ancillary parts to suit each individual application. With our built up relationships with the main manufacturers and suppliers our diverse options are widened to suit all needs and requirements. Our evaporators would be sized correctly to match the condensing unit so a correct balanced refrigeration system is created. These systems are controlled by a fully equipped, temperature controlled, electrical panel. These panels are supplied with all of the correct electrical and safety components to suit the entire temperature range .
