    What's to do when a corner/ free kick is awarded against you.

    1. Think where is your bets side to dive on.

    2. Tell your team mates where to go (your weaker side to dive on).

    3. Make sure they are not blocking your view.

    4. Make sure a player is on front post.

    5. Make sure all players are marked

    6. If the ball is travelling in the air from a corner SHOUT! KEEPERS! Jump or

    extend your hands for a catch or a punch.

    7. From a free kick Position the wall making sure its not blocking your view

    of the ball making sure they are covering one half of the net but make

    sure they are not in the net.

    8. Make sure a player is covering for you behind you in case you kiss the ball.

    Techniques:

    Scoop: Collapse at the knee to make a k shape, open palms up to face the ball with the fingersspred, lead with the hands which bring bodyweight forward. Keep your head still and eyes focused

    on the ball. Bring shoulder forward over the hands. Your elbows need to be slightly flexed to cush-

    ion the ball. Strong palms strong wrists. WHEN BALLS ROLING ON THE FLOOR

    Parrying: Thumbs touching widen your fingers push the ball to your side whilst driving your arms

    to the side to make the ball go further. WHEN THERE SI TO MUCH POWER ON THE BALL OR YOU

    ARE UNABEL TO CATCH IT.

    Bowl Technique: When the ball is in the air follow the ball and let it drop into your arms have your

    arms like a bowl and once the ball is in your arms bring to your chest. WHEN THE BALL IS CHEST

    HEIGHT

    High Punch: when the ball is in the air jump towards the ball interlocking your fingers and punch

    the ball away. WHEN THERE IS A LOT OF PEOPLE GATHERED AROUND YOUR AREA OR TO RELEASETHE BALL TO YOUR PLAYER FASTER BUT ONLY DO THIS IF YOUR TEAM MATE IS NEAR

    High Catch: jump up to the ball with your fingers making a W technique. WHEN THERE IS ONLY A

    FEW PEOPLE IN THE BOX

    W Technique: Make a W shape with your hands by making your thumbs touch. Jump up to the ball

    and let you W shape hands touch the ball from behind the ball. REMEMBER SOFT WRIST STRONG

    PALMS. WHEN THE BALL IS HIGH IN THE AIR.OR UPIDE DOWN W WHEN ITS ON THE FLOOR AND

    YOU DO SCOOP TECHNIQUE

    Cup: Keep as still as you can once the ball has been struck. Make sure your chest is square and

    brought in line with your shoulders. Tuck elbows in . palms facing up ready to catch the ball. Once

    the balls is in your hands scoop it to your chest. WHEN THE BALL IS BELOW CHEST.

    2. The weight should be on the front half of the feet

    ensuring a balanced position

    3. The body weight needs to be slightly forward.

    Low Dive:

    Step into the line of the ball, bend your

    nearest leg to the ball, fall to the ground,

    bring your hands together in a W shape or

    if your unable to perform the W shape

    Technique parry the ball to the side (even if

    its just a finger tip to the ball). When the

    ball is travelling low and you cant do theSCOOP technique quick enough

    High Dive:

    Step into the line of the ball, flex your leg

    slightly (by doing this your bodyweight will

    be on the leading leg) jump into the line of

    the ball, hands apart like wearing a pair of

    handcuffs. Make sure you have a tight gripof the ball as you land on the floor. STRONG

    Most keepers even the professionals tend to panic on a 1v1 situa-tion, also most managers and coaches always blame the keeper if a

    goal goes in on a 1-1 situation. But a keeper should never be on a 1-

    1 situation a defender should always support a keeper. So if your

    on a 1-1 don't panic just remember the steps below and remember

    it is not your fault if you follow theses steps it will help you.

    1. Do not stand in your net2. Approach the player flex your knees arms out make

    yourself big.

    3. Dive onto the ball using the w technique. STRONG

    WIRST SOFT PALMS

    4. MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT TAKE THE PLAYER DOWN

    OR FOUL HER AS IT MAY BE A PENALTY AND IN PRO-

    FESIONAL GAME COULD BE A STRAIGHT RED AS

    YOURE THE LAST PLAYER BUT THATS ONLY FOR

    PRO`S.
