Goalball – soundball
In 1982 goalball tournament was played for the first time in Lublin in Poland as an unofficial Polish Championship.
In 1983 the Polish Championship in Goalball entered the calendar of matches of the Polish Association of Disabled Sports "Start".
The goalball team from Bydgoszcz, a city located 40 km from Toruń. The members of the Bydgoszcz Goalball Club The meeting took place on 28 March 2019 in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Educational Center named after Louise Braille in Bydgoszcz.
Mateusz Holc – a third- year student of
administration at Kazimierz Wielki
University, has been playing goalball for 4
years.
Dawid Krasiński – a student of mathematics, has been playing goalball for several
years, and has been practising taekwondo for 2 and a half
years. He is the Plenipotentiary of the
Students' Parliament of the Republic of Poland for
students with disabilities.
Jakub Żubkowski – a student of journalism
and social communication at the
University in Bydgoszcz, and a
participant of typhlo informatics courses
which means informatics for the visually impaired.
Kamil Perzanowski – a fourth- grade
student of massage school, has been
playing goalball for 3 years.

Jakub was also a guest on the first day of the project meeting in Toruń in April 2019.

In 2016 Casimir the Great University in Bydgoszcz
in cooperation with the Special Educational Center for Children with Blindness and Blind Youth in Bydgoszcz created a team for the Polish Goalball Championship. In 2016 they had the first sporting success - 5th place in the Polish Cup in Wisła. In 2017 the team took 3rd place at the Polish U-21 Junior Championships in Wrocław. In 2018 the Bydgoszcz Club began competing in the newly created II league together with teams from: Krakow, Katowice , Lublin, Szczecin, and went to the first league. In November 2018 the team took second place at the Polish Junior Championships in Wisła.
