Happy New Year Frugal Friends! 2014 promises to be a year of fun, bargains and GREAT DEALS at Grocery Outlet. We are looking forward to helping you feed your families for another year. the holidays are over and the cold weather is in full swing. the month of January begs for you to hibernate and stay out of the cold. it is also the month that most people vow to eat better. this month i would like to share with you some cold weather, healthy recipes. like many of you i go to the internet for my recipes and often find some great ones. Cooking light is one of my favorite go to sites for healthy recipes. Check out their 101 Healthy Soup recipes for inspiration. if you would like to see my comments and reviews on these recipes you can follow along on Facebook. i will post pictures and reviews as i make these healthy hot soup options.

this is where you will find all the wine news; from the newest wines on the shelf to some old favorites. We will keep you informed of the upcoming Wine tastings and special promotions. You may be wondering how this section got its name. Many years ago i was having a conversation with a customer about some of the wines on the shelf. i told him i really didn’t know much about wine and that i was just beginning to learn what i liked and what i didn’t like. i said to him “i am not a wine connoisseur.” He laughed and said “So…you’re a cork dork.” i laughed out loud and have been a cork dork ever since. Join me as i continue my wine journey. it’s fun to learn new things about wine and share them.
