During these periods, more than 350 sepnrateconvoyswere escorted over 48,000 miles of congested urban and suburban roadwayswithout incident or accident. On a routine daily basis, the detachmentpatrolled the Naval District Washington, DC area, rendering assistance tomilitary personnel of all ranks and services, and apprehending those personson unauthorized leave.
