    Mr. Bela,

Thank you for your reply to my inquiry. I would like to correct one thing however, A. P. Dillon is the founder ofLadyLiberty1885 blog and main journalist/blogger. I am her co-blogger.

I would like you to know that I will be running a story regarding an incident that took place the morning ofDecember 4th at the Wilford Hall Med CTR. An individual who a retired Major with the USAF walked into one ofthe waiting rooms. The TV was on a national news channel. This individual was watching the channel when hewas approached by two military members and was told "he is not allowed" to watch that station and that it mustbe changed to something neutral. he was also told if it remained on the specific channel that they (the militarymembers) would get into trouble againwith there senior officer if he/she saw it on the news channel.

Now, I have reached out to many contacts across the country and asked the same question of them that Iposed in my initial email regarding what is on the TV's in waiting rooms at Military med ctrs. The majority say itis usually tuned to the news, either CNN, FOX or the local news in that community.

You stated that there is Internal Policy at the ctr regarding TV viewing...In that policy is there anything indicatingthat news channels, or any other news stations are prohibit ed? If so, will you specify the reason for anyprohibition of news channels? Will you provide me with the internal policy documentation? Is there militaryregulation/policy regarding this? If so, will you provide me with that documentation? Is there posteddocumentation in the waiting rooms regarding channel select ion and what is considered acceptable viewing? Ihave reviewed your ctrs website as well as military site and have found no policy internal or otherwise regardingthis.

Would you care to comment on this incident?

I thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

Subject: Policy regarding what is watched on TV in waiting rooms

I would like to know if there is a policy at your facility regarding what can and can not bewatched in a waiting room. Also, if it up to the visitors and patients to turn the TV on,change the channel etc? Do you leave it up to those who use your facility to decide whatthey watch on the TV's??
