Dear Esteemed Readers, Warmest welcome from the Geo Expansion Team! We in Avnet Technology Solutions are proud to be the leading distributor of IT solutions in more than 70 countries and is the key distributor of IBM solutions with over 25 years of partnership. Avnet and IBM have a long standing history of working together providing Resellers, Service Providers, Systems Integrators and ISV’s with specialist support to fulfil our end-user customer needs and to help our Business Partners ‘Accelerate their Success’.
Year 2013 has been very rewarding. Avnet and IBM embarked on a journey and submerged into this custom initiative program to jointly develop, enable and certify Business Partners on IBM solutions offerings in all Geo Locations in Malaysia. Marking our first year of this initiative, we are proud to see many achievements where we have certified quite a number of valuable Business Partners in the West Malaysia, and we will be escalating in numbers as we intend to continue this enablement and certification program widely in East Malaysia soon. As you are reading this, we are in the midst of preparing for the 1S1P for all Geo Expansion’s Business Partners who are interested in championing IBM Solution. Our commitment is to continue to work with our Business Partners on GTM (go to market) and we will enable, certify and GTM (Go To Market) together with IBM to bring your business into next level -implementation of 1S1P (One State One Product) to be launch in GEO location. This initiative is as a recognition of the champion in 1 state with IBM product. At Avnet, we aim to be the preferred value-added distributor of choice by resellers for all the brands that we carry and our remarkable team of Avnet staff in geo locations; Angelia Ang (northern territory), Shahezan Kasim (southern and east coast) and Yu Ming Sing (east Malaysia), are dedicated to provide you the support and assistance. We are coming nearer to you! Here, we also formally present our first release of the Geo Expansion newsletter, firstly targeted for Geo Expansion’s Business Partners in the West Malaysia and ultimately, this will continue into East Malaysia. We hope that through this newsletter we are able to showcase solutions and our activities that we have in store for you. You will hear a lot more from and about us in the coming months. WebSphere Cast Iron Cloud integration is a rapid, flexible and simple approach to connecting your SaaS and on-premise applications. Enablement in Penang, Ipoh and JB
The Meet & Greet session was full of thrills and excitement as the Geo Expansion team rode on a Mitsubishi Triton to their Geo destinations in East Malaysia. Fuelled by their adventurous spirit, the team pushed their way through Kuching, Sibu, Bintulu, Miri and Kota Kinabalu commencing from 9th May and finally concluding on 21st May. Through this memorable tour, the team managed to increase their exposure as well as strengthen their relationships with existing and potential business partners and resellers. In addition, the team spent an evening with their business partners and resellers down in Johor Bahru, and similar to previous sessions, the event began with a welcome speech by Country General Manager of Avnet, Mr Chiew Yue Lam. This was followed by presentations on key topics that conveys the partnership of Avnet & IBM. Geo Leader, Mr J. Mohan, also shared about the Avnet-IBM value propositions to the audience.
This initiative has brought the Geo Expansion team closer to the various Geo locations and provided the underlining benefits that business partners have been looking for. According to feedback during interviews carried out at two of the locations, business partners revealed they are looking for opportunities and support from being in a partnership with Avnet. Carrying forward the momentum of this custom initiative, the Geo Expansion team is already geared up to provide value-added services and solutions for the betterment of their business partners.
