FOCUS ON CAREERS
GLOBAL STUDIESBrandeis University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences
LOBAL STUDIES graduate study at Brandeis provides a broad perspective of globalinstitutions, critical issues, and the complex ways that globalization affects specific regions and
countries. Students are prepared to be global thinkers in business, education, government, and the
non-profit sector.
Global Studies students can pursue international careers in the U.S. or abroadby building upon skills such as functional expertise, language ability, or experience overseas. Careers are
varied and may include working for the federal government (such as Peace Corps or Foreign Service),
international service agencies (such as CARE, UNICEF, Direct Relief International), English-language
teaching positions, multinational corporations, or employment in non-profit organizations. Globalization has
changed almost every field and needs graduates who understand intra- and inter-national issues.
