10th GLOBAL SKILLS SUMMIT“New Age Skills for Today and Tomorrow”
Modern confluence of disruptive digital technologies that are set to change the
work place: driven by the astonishing rise in data volumes, computational power,
and connectivity; by the emergence of advanced analytics and business
intelligence capabilities; by new forms of human-machine interaction, such as touch
interfaces and augmented-reality systems; by improvements in the transfer of
digital instructions to the physical world, such as in advanced robotics and 3-D
printing and hence it is extremely important to understand the impact of such
transition on changing skill sets requirement. With this context this year’s Global
Skill Summit will deliberate upon following themes:
The world of work is changing- we would only be as good as new age skills we
possess, are we keeping a pace with it?
Impact of technology (automation, IoT, 3D, augmented realities etc.) on key
jobs roles and skill levels across the value chain - New jobs, Endangered jobs
and Changed jobs
Various skill sets, productivity and benchmarks for employer and employees
(increased remuneration, premium to skilled worker etc.)
Initiatives to transform job seekers into job creators and creating better
opportunities of self employment
