SolutionKorablik is a large child store chain with over 180 points of sale in Moscow and other Russian cities. The company had implemented the Office 365 cloud platform and considered moving the Exchange Server email infrastructure into the cloud.Softline built a hybrid cloud integration with local infrastructure and per-formed the bidirectional migration of data between the local and cloud platforms.After migration, the email bases were cleaned for remaining users on the local platform to optimize the workloads on server resources. The hybrid cloud will be used for several years and eventually the entire email system will be moved to the cloud.

ResultsThe project has decreased operational expenses for support and maintenance of the current system, and increased the client’s competitiveness from high cloud service stability and fault tolerance. The client’s purchase of Enterprise licenses with monthly Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) subscription has consid-erably reduced expenses on software rental and enabled accurate forecasting of monthly planned expenses.

SolutionAccountor offers financial and HR administration services from more than 100 branches within seven European countries with an extensive partner network. The Russian personal data legislation stipulating the storing and processing of all personal information about the citizens in the territory of Russia was to be enforced in September 2015. The IT specialists from the Russian branch of Accountor needed to migrate a part of IT infrastructure into a do-mestic data center. Softline, with in-house data centers in Russia, was chosen as the migration partner.

ResultsThe client on receiving a reliable and cost-efficient cloud infra-structure hosted by a Russian provider moved all the necessary IT services into this infrastructure within the shortest timescale. The client fulfilled the legislation requirements at an acceptable quality level.

SolutionFlops (Ionica LLC) is a Moscow based cloud provider offering SMB-oriented cloud hosting services. Business growth compelled the provider to upgrade its data center. During the migration to the new data center, it was necessary to ensure the continuous availability of services for clients.Softline recommended the HaaS (Hardware as a Service) model to minimize any impact on the current business processes during the transportation of equipment between the data centers.

ResultsWith HaaS services, Flops leased and configured equipment before migrating client data into the new data center without any disruption to critical operation services. The client has upgraded their hardware and reduced acquisition expense. The annual lease payment for serv-ers helped the company to offset capital expenses with operational costs. Under the HaaS program, the client is given a single point of access for resolving technical requests (hardware, software support and maintenance), as well as the opportunity to host the equipment in the selected data center and buy it out at the residual book value when required.

SPLA for holding structures. SPLA can be an alternative to traditional software acquisition. To use SPLA for providing IT solution access, the internal users need to allocate an internal service provider (it should be a non-affiliated organiza-tion) and become an SPLA partner of Softline. The deployment of a private cloud will reduce the cost of workplace maintenance and allow quick response to changes from a service-oriented software consumption model.

Services for external customers. With SPLA licensing, you can provide services on Microsoft platforms to ex-ternal customers: deploying a private or public cloud, offering SaaS solutions or renting PCs / servers with preinstalled software. Softline recommended ELMA BPM, a Russian software product.

ResultsAround 100 workplaces of Gasprombank Electronic Trade Platform have been automated, key business processes in the Client Relationship Management, Enterprise Content Management, and Project Management (CRM, ECM and PRJ) modules have been streamlined, accounting and notification systems for top management have been reconfigured, and the main client services have been implemented in stages in the new system.

Solution The Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center is a cultural and educational site and is the most technologically advanced museum in Russia. One of the new exhibi-tion projects is an interactive virtual installation resembling a bookshelf. It is a widescreen monitor embedded into a decorative housing. The system includes a camera that recognizes body motion, mimics and voice, and a wireless Microsoft Kinect controller that helps users interact with the displayed scenes using move-ments and gestures. To turn this concept into reality, it was necessary to create an application that enabled content management via Kinect.Softline developed both a content management panel that allows converting PDF files into “books”, and an application, for which the interface and the set of gestures, reading modes, and language preferences were created. Softline tuned the user gesture recognition when the book is selected, viewed, and closed, tak-ing into account the motion specifics of the different ages (adults, children and elderly people).

ResultsThe result of the project was creating a virtual interactive gesture-controlled “bookshelf”. Visitors can “take” any book from this bookshelf, look through its pages, select the language and other parameters.

ResultsThe portal has been optimized by using a new method of generating geo-depen-dent pages with accompanying content. The company is included in Deloitte’s international ranking of Top-50 Largest Online Retailers for 2015.Prior to project implementation, the client was using Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2012 R2 in test mode, which did not support monitoring of infrastructure parameters. Full-scale SCOM was implemented after Softline had performed IT architecture audit and had analyzed the client’s IT process-es.

ResultsThe solution includes a monitoring system that controls an estimated 200 Windows servers, Unix servers, application launch services, email (Tomcat, Exchange), SharePoint and others. Softline implemented an automated visual-ization system that displays the service status within a web interface without a need for command prompt. A role-based access system has been created for the monitored parameters.

SolutionDetskiy Mir chain has more than 350 stores in over 140 cities of Russia and Kazakhstan and 44 ELC (Early Learning Centre) stores. Prior to project implementation, the client used IBM Lotus Domino as their corporate e-mail solution. Based on the corporate e-mail infrastructure audit and the client’s requirements, Softline recommended a new e-mail solution that is Microsoft Exchange Server 2013. The solution is hosted on three servers with fault-tol-erant architecture. System migration could be performed without any busi-ness interruption.

ResultsMicrosoft Exchange allowed consolidation of the e-mail solution in one data center (before the project the servers were hosted in various branches), which has increased its manageability and reliability. The new solution has considerably increased the mailbox volume, eliminated data duplication and provided access for mobile email.

SolutionThe Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM) project office annually conducts more than 400 large-scale projects dedicated to public opinion polls. As the volume of research was growing, the client wanted to replace the Microsoft Office apps used for communication and management with a specialized project management system. The client decided to implement Microsoft Project Server 2013.
