Our solutions and services
External Compliance Officer In case you do not have a compliance officer, or if you require support for your current compliance officer, we can provide assistance. By outsourcing or co-sourcing compliance, you can fulfil the compliance function independently and with the right expertise.
• When outsourcing compliance, we, as external compliance officer, will set up the compliance function and execute the activities.
• When co-sourcing compliance, we will support your compliance officer(s) with our knowledge and experience. Where necessary, we can also perform operational compliance-related activities.
Compliance audit & monitoring The results of our audits will provide you with an overview of the most relevant Risk & Compliance aspects within the operations of your organization. We examine the governance and structure of the compliance organization, and the products and services provided. We identify the most important laws and (internal) regulations and the relation to the management, business, audit, external regulators and other risk management functions. Where necessary, we provide concrete recommendations for improvement. We are capable to perform a customized compliance audit, by conducting reviews and fact-finding research. In consultation with you, we will focus on the issues which are most relevant to your organization.
Due diligence It is increasingly important to know your customers well and to identify risks such as money laundering, corruption and terrorist financing. This is essential to your business integrity and to avoid reputational damage. Our certified ACAMS consultants have worked in various financial institutions over the past 12 years and know the best practices in the field of customer integrity. Our consultants are aware of the latest developments in the area of Customer Due Diligence and the requirements of regulators. We are strong in creating awareness among the business and provide customized training. In this way, we ensure a strong involvement and commitment of employees in their daily compliance work. We can provide you with (inter)national legislation to protect your financial system and translate it to your business, so that it is clear and workable. We can carry out an independent investigation (pre and post audit). This means that a representative selection of client files will be assessed on the basis of local policies and the latest requirements of the regulator and legislator. We provide an advisory or assurance report, including practical recommendations.
Training and education
An effective compliance function can only operate in an organization where your employees are aware and informed of their own individual regulatory obligations. When creating awareness within an organization, training sessions play a vital role. An effective, specific and tailored training regime is a cornerstone to achieving a successful compliance framework. Partner in Compliance is aware of the importance of creating and delivering ‘bespoke’ training that is tailored to your specific business activities. Due to our extensive client experience, we understand the questions that may arise on the journey from regulation to operation, and we create our training activities with this in mind. We develop in-house training sessions on compliance-related issues. We can also coach and support compliance officers, directors and supervisors of financial institution. In autumn 2018, we will launch our Partner in Compliance Academy. In the Netherlands and the Caribbean, we will offer several certified courses which will provide you with the relevant (soft) skills and knowledge - both in theory and in practice – to undertake the role of an AML analyst or compliance professional.
