Welcome Message from the Organizing Committee
Warm Greetings from Global Cardio Diabetes Conclave 2018!
A strong correlation between cardiovascular disease and diabetes is now well established. The American Heart association considers that individuals with Insulin Resistance or Diabetes are more likely to fall victim to heart disease or stroke.
¢ Prevalence of CAD is 68% in Diabetics of more than 10 years duration.
¢ Presentation of CAD in Diabetics in often silent Myocardial infarction & have more extensive & diffuse lesion in coronaries most common being LAD followed by RCA & Left Circumflex.
¢ Complications in Diabetic CAD are 2-5 fold increased risk Heart Failure Compared to Non Diabetes.
¢ Mortality is twice as high in diabetic patients and Non Diabetic-35.9% versus, 17.9%.Diabetol
The mission towards our vision #GlobalCardioDiabetesConclave (GCDC) is to become a unique forum for clinicians from Cardiology, Diabetes, Internal Medicine across Geographies to come together and share their clinical experiences in management of Cardiovascular diseases in Diabetics.
GCDC is organizing an annual conference every year in India and CMEs round the year globally to debate and to discuss latest scientific developments in the fields of Cardio Diabetology.
