Migration from NAV 2009 to Business Central

Need & Solution BriefClient wanted to migrate their existing Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 to Business Central in cloud. Before migration client wanted

to ensure that all the business process related customizations are reviewed and optimized for cloud adoption and legacy

processes are aligned with their existing business practices.

Major challengesCustomer has implemented NAV 2009 many years back and has around 70 customization including file system based

transactions. At the same time client wanted to review all the business processes to optimize them before implementing them in

cloud.

Data Migration from Bespoke ERP to Business Central

Need & Solution BriefCustomer already had a bespoke erp in use for many years before the migrated to Business Central. Customer wanted to migrate

all major master data and closing transactions to Business Central to start using Business Central.

Major challengesCustomer had Bespoke ERP which was developed by inhouse and external developer using SQL Server as backend in an

incremental manner thus there was lot of data inconsistency in the system. Apart from that client had one part of business which

they have acquired in past was still using Microsoft Dynamics GP. Client wanted merge and streamline data from both sources into

Business Central and at the same time wanted to clean it up as well.

› Data cleaning and alignment with Business Central so that it can be transformed into standard data import template

› Data migration from GP using Dynamics GP Data migration Extension

› Custom data migration from Bespoke ERP to Business Central using template and Odata web services via custom .net

programs which handled ETL (Extract Transform and Load ) process to Business Central based on pre-defined rules.

We delivered fully integrated data from both data sources and customer was able to go live with migrated data which was far

more accurate then its source and at the same time fully aligned with their financial results and inventory status.

Solution BriefClient is a lending bank fully operational on internet. Bank accepts loan application online and performance most of review automatically via various integrations. Once loan

is approved it is sent to an auction process where lenders will bid for part of the loan at varied rate of interest. At peak system can reach up to 10000 bids per minute. Each

successful bid gets converted into loan part which is services via a specific engine for repayment. System also allows lender to deposit and withdraw money from their bank

account which gets processed via national payment system of the country. System features live auction update, banking standard audit trailing, full encryption of personal

information and regular record integrity check via automated system for temper protection.

System is fully deployed in Azure and leverages various azure capabilities including azure functions , blob storage and Office 365 integration for seamless communication on

single platform.

› The solution was created for a company of digital electronic services (recharge of electronic air time) with 80 thousand points of sales.

› The client had more than 2 years trying to integrate the operation of its POS for the financial accounting management in Dynamics NAV.

› An automated and optimized tool was needed to be able to manage and consolidate more than 4 million weekly transactions for its financial cost &

inventory control.

› The requirements included the understanding of the business to design the final accounting transactions to control the financial cost of electronic

inventory while controlling the recharge of hours. Also included the ERP upgrade from version 2009 to NAV 2016.

› AkkETL is the solution we developed to extract, process and consolidate 4 million of POS transactions per week in 300 electronic sales invoices and client
