Global Account Manager – Franchisee Module Overview The Franchisee Module of the Global Account Manager is a web-based tool which allows Franchisees and authorized Franchisee Office Staff to create and manage McDonald’s Account EIDs. Issuance of an EID provides the recipient with:

Access to McDonalds Applications as designated by the person’s Sponsor. AccessMCD

The Global Account Manager can be accessed via: http://account.mcd.com.

Global Account Manager Capabilities

Users of the Franchisee Module have the ability to:

Request a New EID – Users have the ability to request a New EID for employee’s in their organization. When requesting a new ID, users may:

o Assign the User to a Store o Select the User’s Role (Above the Store, In the Store) o Assign the User a Sponsor

Instructions for Requesting a New EID can be found in Section 1

Disable an Existing EID – Users have the ability to disable an existing EID. Instructions for disabling an EID can be found in Section 2.A

Re-Enable a Disabled EID – Users have the ability to re-enable an EID which has been previously disabled. Instructions for re-enabling an EID can be found in Section 2.B

Edit User Account Information – Users have the ability to edit User specific Information including:

o First, Last Name o Email Address o Birth Date o Sponsor

o Store Name o Account Type o Preferred Language

Instructions for Editing User Specific Information can be found in Section 2.C

Manage a User’s Application Access – Instructions for Changing Application Access may be found in Section 3

Delegate Permissions - Users have the ability to delegate permissions to another user. Instructions for delegating permissions may be found in Section 4

Change a Store Name – Users have the ability to change the name of a particular store. Instructions for Changing a Store Name may be found in Section 5

Access Reports – Users have the ability to generate two types of reports; Transaction Reports and Staff Reports. Instructions for Generating Reports may be found in Section 6

1. Requesting a New EID

1. Log into the Global Account Manager at http://account.mcd.com/. You will need your EID and Password. A successful login will take you to the Franchisee Home Screen as shown below:

2. Click on the Request a New EID tile. The Request a New EID Screen will display as shown below.

3. Complete the Request a New EID Form and Click the “Next” Button. You will be taken to the Account Information Screen as shown below:

4. Select the EID recipient’s Store, appropriate Account Type, and Sponsor. Click on the “Next” button. The Select User’s Applications Screen will display as shown below:

5. Select the Applications you would like the User to have access to. The selection of applications will vary depending upon your area of the world. Click on the “Next” button. For applications that require additional information, you will be presented with a screen to collect that information.

6. Once you have completed any application setting screens, the Review Your EID Request screen will display as shown below:

7. After verifying that all previously entered information has been captured correctly. Click the “Submit Request” button. Your request will be saved and you will be directed to the Franchisee home screen. NOTE: New account requests will typically take 2-5 minutes to complete. The user will show as “Pending” in your People page until it is complete.

2. Managing Your People

A. How To Disable an EID 1. Log into the Global Account Manager at http://account.mcd.com/. You will need your EID and Password. A

successful login will take you to the Franchisee Home Screen as shown below:

2. Click on the Manage Your People tile. The Global Account Manager will display the Manage Your People screen as shown below:

3. Click on the Disable button for the user in you want to disable. The Global Account Manager will display the Disable User screen as shown on the next page.

4. If the user you are disabling is a Franchisee Office Staff who has sponsored other users, you will be presented with the following screen:

Select a new sponsor for the EIDs that the user sponsored.

5. Click on the Disable User Button. The Global Account Manager will return you to the Manage Your People. The user you have just disabled will now show a status of Pending Disable.

B. Re-Enabling an EID 1. Log into the Global Account Manager at http://account.mcd.com/. You will need your EID and Password. A

successful login will take you to the Franchisee Home Screen as shown below:

2. Click on the Manage Your People Button. The Global Account Manager will display the Manage Your People screen as shown below:

3. In the Filter Type drop down, select Status. In the Filter Value drop down, select Disabled Only. This will filter the display of users to only disabled users.

4. Click on the Re-Enable button for the user you want to re-enable. The Global Account Manager will display the Edit User screen as shown on the following page.

5. Click on the Re-Enable Button. After clicking the Re-Enable button, you will see a message next to the Cancel button indicating when the record was saved and the status will show Enabled.

C. Editing User Account Information 1. Log into the Global Account Manager at http://account.mcd.com/. You will need your EID and Password. A

successful login will take you to the Franchisee Home Screen as shown below:

2. Click on the Manage Your People tile. The Global Account Manager will display the Manage Your People screen as shown below:

3. Click on the Edit button for the user you want to edit. You will be able to change the information such as:

o First, Last Name o Email Address o Birth Date o Sponsor

o Store Name o Account Type o Preferred Language

The Global Account Manager will display the Edit User screen as shown below.

You may also edit the name of the selected User by clicking on the Edit Name button. This will bring you to the Edit Name screen as shown on the next page where you can change the name and click the Update Name button. Please note and adhere to the security requirements regarding name changes.

4. Once you have completed all changes, Click on the Save Button. The Application will display revised fields in

red. This will serve as confirmation that your changes have been saved.

3. Managing a User’s Access to an Application

1. Log into the Global Account Manager at http://account.mcd.com/. You will need your EID and Password. A successful login will take you to the Franchisee Home Screen as shown below:

2. Click on the Manage Your People tile. The Global Account Manager will display the Manage Your People screen as shown below:

3. Click the Edit button for the user you want to edit. The Application Information section will show the applications available to the user. The applications will vary by area of the world. Each application will show a summary of the user’s current access to the application. To the right of the application you will be presented with either a Request Access button (if the user does not currently have access) or Edit and Remove buttons (if the user currently has access). The Edit User screen is shown below:

4. Delegating Permissions to Users

1. Log into the Global Account Manager at http://account.mcd.com/. You will need your EID and Password. A successful login will take you to the Franchisee Home Screen as shown below:

2. Click on the Manage Your People tile. The Global Account Manager will display the Manage Your People screen as shown below:

3. Click the Edit button for the user you want to edit. You will only be able to delegate permissions to Franchisee Office Staff users only. The Edit User screen will display as shown on the following page.

4. From this page, you have the ability delegate permissions to Franchisee Office Staff (FOS) users. There are three settings for each user. By default, FOS User’s do not have any delegation permissions.

o No Permission: The user does not have permission to sponsor or manage EID’s o Sponsor As Self Permission: The user may sponsor EID’s or manage EID’s they have sponsored o Delegated Franchisee Permission: This user may sponsor EID’s on behalf of themselves or the

franchisee(s), and may manage all EID’s in the organization.

5. Select the desired permission level. The change is automatically saved as soon as you make your selection. There is no need to click the Save button.

5. Editing a Store Name

1. Log into the Global Account Manager at http://account.mcd.com/. You will need your EID and Password. A successful login will take you to the Franchisee Home Screen as shown below:

2. Click on the Manage Your Stores tile. The Global Account Manager will display the Manage Your Stores screen as shown below:

3. Click the Edit button for the store you want to edit. The name of the store will be replaced with an edit box with Save and Cancel buttons as shown on the following page.

4. Change the name and click the Save button. You will see the name of the store change in the list of stores and can make additional edits if you choose.

6. Accessing Reports

1. Log into the Global Account Manager at http://account.mcd.com/. You will need your EID and Password. A successful login will take you to the Franchisee Home Screen as shown below:

2. Click on the Reports tile. The Global Account Manager will display the Reports screen as shown below.

3. The Global Account Manager offers you the ability to generate three reports at this time: Transaction Report, Staff Report, and Store Staff Hierarchy Report. Additional reports may be added at a later date.
